The Officers of the Rocky Mountain Region of AMORC would like to share information about the Region and its Affiliated Bodies. They also have interesting messages to share that we hope you find inspiring!
Greetings, Fratres, Sorores and Friends of AMORC!
The Affiliated Bodies of the Rocky Mountain Pacific Northwest Region are a wonderful way to meet with other Rosicrucians and experience the fraternal aspects of our Order. We are happy to now have an active Rosicrucian Discussion Group in the SeaTac area of Washington ("thank you!" to some very dedicated members), and hope to see it grow in 2025!
"With each progressive step along the initiatic path, there is greater silence. When perceived, it is accompanied with a strong emotion and an indescribable joy. To possess it produces a greater love for humanity and respect for all creatures. To receive it is like being reborn and to guard it becomes the only option for the true initiate. So, do we <AMORC> possess a secret? I’ll let you decide. But I suggest that you participate in the Lodge initiations, live the teachings with humility, and remain loyal to the Order that has welcomed you and which has placed great trust in you. As for the secret, our smile and inner joy revealed by our thoughts, words, and actions are enough to communicate this to one with the eyes to see." – Claudio Mazzucco
What is the “greater silence” to which our Imperator refers? It seems that there is a constant noise in our consciousness as the observer-consciousness within us (perhaps the ego) comments on all that we do, feel, and think. It is an annoying chatter (sometimes overwhelming) that interferes with our ability to simply experience being. It pushes against the walls of our consciousness and may exclude the quiet murmurs of Nature that want to reveal true reality to us in all of its simple beauty. The chatter can even be so loud as to drown out the words and emotions of the Inner Master, and like many kinds of sensory overload, can cause us to behave in very unhealthy or erratic ways. As we learn truths that can only come from a direct (mystical) experience of reality and universal consciousness, we can learn how to ignore a lot of the chatter because much of it is engaged in speculation about things we no longer doubt, by virtue of this mystical experience. As we ignore the chatter, it slowly starts to “give up” and recede, allowing our attention be captured by the murmurs of Nature. We start to hear those murmurs as clear lessons, and to experience the joy that has been coming at us all along. The greater silence is a consequence of the confidence we have in knowing more about Truth. And it allows the ringing joy in our Soul to be more easily and clearly felt. If we do possess a secret, it is not something that is withheld from any true Seeker, but the key to understanding it must be found in the heart. And in that sense, maybe it is no secret at all. Or maybe it is. Our Imperator is right: “you decide”.
Meanwhile, may the experience of growing mystical silence bring you joy, and purpose, and resolve.
Sincerely and Fraternally,
Bill Hallett

My Brothers and Sisters, Fratres and Sorores;
Here we are entering a fresh new year. What have we learned in the last year and in the many previous years of our lives? We can examine on how we managed our physical lives, and how we manipulated our jobs, our social situation, our finances and such, or we can focus on our spiritual and emotional growth. Which of these is the more important in evaluating our past performance?
We spend a great deal of our life efforts in dealing with the material world. After all, we are physical beings and must “render onto Caesar”, must deal with physical needs. We go through life stages of first finding out who we are, then where we fit into our world, then pursuing a niche or profession. These keep us very busy and focused on our place in the material world. Hopefully, along the way, we start to feel that there is something more to living and develop a sense of the spiritual.
Life is a “proving ground”, a place where we hone our being in a process of learning to love. We call it spiritual evolution. It seems that the physical world is a gift from the Devine – a place where we can, through trial and error, find what is important and what is not. Through our actions and reactions we learn what is and is not harmonious in our lives and in the universe.
So, what can we learn from this process and how can we work with it for the best results? Life is Karma – it brings choices, we make decisions which seem good at the time, and we learn from the results of those choices. We have little control over the results (other than they are the result of our decisions) and we must live with them. Life happens, and we feel the resulting pleasure or pain. The spiritual growth, the spiritual evolution comes not from these events happening, but from how we decide to alter our future decisions and actions.
Spiritual evolution is the result of making choices that are in harmony with the universe and these choices are made as the result of the events that happen in our lives. Sisters and brothers, sorores and fraters, let’s resolve in this new year to examine life events thrown at us, discover the lessons being given us and alter our future thoughts and actions to be in harmony with the best interests of all nature and humanity.
May you ever dwell in the Eternal Light of Divine Wisdom!

"Humankind has always been seeking to rise above the shadows and climb towards the light. This rising up is slow and is often made through the trials encountered in daily life. Even if it does not always seem obvious, we are nonetheless on our way towards a world which is better and full of hope. " -- Christian Bernard, Rosicrucian Reflections
Beloved Fratres and Sorores,
As I write this, it is not yet the middle of December, 2024. Winter is definitely here. Near the end of the second year Mountain Rose Pronaos has prospered in the Highlands Masonic Temple in Denver. We have a grand temple in which to worship and invite people to, and we have a growing membership, both older and younger. We have fresh ideas coming out of Imagine AMORC. We still have lots of work to do, but the vision we have been holding for Mountain Rose is manifesting.
Again, I ask you to consider; What do you value most about your AMORC membership, and how could it be even more impactful? What would you like to see Mountain Rose accomplish this next year? What would you like to do to expand and deepen your Rosicrucian experience?
Coming up on January 19, 2025, we have scheduled another New Member Initiation. If you are not already a member of the pronaos, we would like to welcome you. Please RSVP here if you wish to be included in the Initiation: colorado@amorc.rosicrucian.org. Any member may attend as a witness; it is a beautiful ceremony.
Mountain Rose Pronaos is a non-profit organization and is solely supported by AMRA donations. If you can, please support us with a donation. You might consider setting up a recurring monthly donation via Paypal. If you have any ideas for fundraising, here is an opportunity to share them. There is a Paypal button in this newsletter if you wish to donate that way, or just drop your gift of love in our beautiful AMRA box. We appreciate everything you do.
From All Points of the Triangle,
Ed Hanson, CO Regional Monitor and Mountain Rose Pronaos Master
Beloved Fratres and Sorores,
"In practical living Illumination follows both Intuition and Idealism. Our intuition helps us to form a series of steps to climb. Each step in turn is an ideal; each ideal is more advanced, and more satisfying to our highest psychic self. An ideal may start with health, with personal well-being. Then it may advance to a consideration of the welfare of others, the service of society and then gradually broaden with greater understanding. Idealism prepares the consciousness for Illumination." -- Ralph M. Lewis
I hope everyone has goals for this year that ideally bring you closer and closer to illumination and that your ideals grow broader to help all humanity.
Love, Light, and Life,
Frater Nathan Klotz

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
This is my first opportunity to address this group as Master of the Rocky Mountain Atelier of the Traditional Martinist Order, and I would like to use this opportunity to thank those who have served in this role during my short time with the order. My sincere gratitude to David Schloegel, Phil Goodwin, Terry Orlikowski, Judith Stewart, Bill Fickas and the many others who have come before me and have helped guide the journeys of many brothers and sisters. These past masters have given so much to myself and others through their years of service and dedication.
Since I have only a few short newsletters to share my thoughts, I will start with the experience that helped me embark on my mystical journey. When a friend in college asked me my opinion on numerology, I told him what I had always been told - it is witchcraft. I grew up in a religious community that had very strict rules about beliefs that were accepted, as well as those that were not, and I never really put much thought into this topic until that moment. He challenged my thinking by saying “you’re studying to be an engineer. If it isn’t real, then you’ll be able to read this book and prove to me why it isn’t.”
Determined to prove it wasn’t a real science, I studied it in detail, tested the information as many ways as I could, and found that it was more accurate than could be explained by chance. From that moment on, I opened my mind and allowed my perspective to shift with new information about how our universe works. For the last quarter century I have continued to study and apply numerology to my life, and I am always astonished by the insights I gain from it.
Numbers are visible in all aspects of life and have many hidden meanings. From the moment we are born, to the day we transition, we are surrounded by cycles of numbers that can help us come closer to understanding what we seek. It is through the contemplation of these various cycles and their timings in our own lives that we can find their special meaning and the significant moments that have been architected into our own lives.
By learning and applying the types of energies these numbers represent, we can greatly enhance our connection with the architecture of which our universe operates. Thankfully, the Traditional Martinist Order has further enhanced my understanding of numerology, as it shows up in many of our lessons. From the basic principle of theosophical reduction, to the detailed insights of Kabbalah, there are many opportunities to dive deeper into the study of numbers through Martinism.
While there are many versions and traditions of numerology that exist in our world, I most frequently analyze events through the lens of western numerology. By using theosophical reduction, any number, name, date, or word can be reduced to single digit numbers to be analyzed for insights. When planning important business moments I also tend to use the system laid out though H. Spencer Lewis’s work “Self Mastery And Fate With The Cycles of Life”. For me personally, numerology has played a large part in not only analyzing important times in the past and present, but have helped me plan for important events in the future.
To share a recent example of numerology at work in my life, I began writing this newsletter section on 12/26/2024 which reduces to 1+2+2+6+2+0+2+4=19=1+9=10=1+0=1, which carries the double significance of containing both the ending of a 9, coupled with the new beginning of 1. 1 not only represents new beginnings, but also that of leadership, and of unity - things that are very important to me as I start my journey as master of the Rocky Mountain Atelier. The 9 is significant to me as 2024 has been a 9 year in a 6 cycle that I have been experiencing since the birth of my second son in 2016. 2025 begins a new pinnacle cycle, my 4th and final - a 1 pinnacle - signifying much work to be done for the rest of my life.
One last fun example I enjoy sharing about numerology in my life are the life path numbers of my family. The life path number comes from the theosophical reduction of the day, month and year of the birth day. My life path is an 8 from the reduction of 12/25/1978. My wife has a life path of 1, and somehow, all 3 of our children have life paths of 9 (1+ 8 to point out the obvious). I know the odds of that happening aren’t that astounding (1 in 59,049 or 9x9x9x9x9), but it makes me smile thinking that I will have my hands full raising 3 to-be-humanitarians.
As we are soon to begin the many new cycles including our next Gregorian calendar cycle, the Rosicrucian new year cycle, and our next 2-year TMO cycle, I look forward to all the wonderful numerological values that will reveal themselves to us, and to the powers and influences which they bring. May you find meaning and connection within yourself to the numbers that surround us, and to the grand architect of the universe that made them.
May we all ever dwell in the Eternal Light of Divine Wisdom!

Grand Lodge has extensive online offerings for both members and nonmembers. Our Regional Officers have worked together to develop Colorado Rosicrucian meetings through Zoom. These meetings are embracing a geographically expanding Rosicrucian community that is much larger than our local affiliated bodies in Colorado Springs and Denver.
Our Rocky Mountain Regional Newsletter desires to offer all our members a space to share their mystical thought/feeling/perspective. These Reflections need to be submitted to Grand Councilor Bill Hallett (cologc777@gmail.com) before newsletter publication: by November 30, February 28, May 30, August 30. The writing needs to be 500 words or less.
We invite you to share your thoughts, insights, and experiences. Share your Light with us!
