75 Years ago – January, February, March 1949

Meeting location – Cooper Building, 17th and Curtis Street.

• Status - Chapter

• Membership roster – 10 members

• Convocation every Friday 8:00 PM

• Chapter room open for reading and meditation every Saturday 2:00 – 4:30 PM

• Consultation and interviews with prospective members every Tuesday 7:00 – 9:00 PM

• Two Colombes serving with one Colombe-in-waiting 

• On the first Sunday of the month a meeting of the “Sunshine Circle”, a regular gathering to perform metaphysical aid, is held.  The Circle also does visiting functions and gathers materials for shut-ins.

• On January 28th the Chapter conducted an initiation for new Chapter members.

• The Rosicrucian New Year Ceremony and installation of new officers was held on March 18th

• An Appellation Ceremony (Rosicrucian Christening) was held on March 11th for Bruce Edwin Turer, son of Frater and Soror Johnson E Turner.

• Following the Appellation Ceremony, new members were initiated into the Chapter.

Meeting location – 851 Clarkson St.  (Note that this is an entire house dedicated to Rosicrucian activities)

  • Membership roster – 60 members

  • Convocation every Friday 8:00 PM and on the first Sunday of each month

  • 4 Colombes serving

  • Hosted a Roundtable Discussion for the public on the 2nd Sunday.  A topic is presented, and each attendee is asked to express their thoughts and opinions on the topic

  • Conducted 7th degree forums on the first Tuesday of the month.

  • Conducted Neophyte degree forums on every Wednesday of the month

  • Performed an initiation for new members of the Chapter on January 11th and March 3rd and 8th.

  • Held a “Fun Night” on February 17th.  This included a “white elephant” gift exchange, games like Password, Monopoly, etc were played, along with refreshments and fellowship.

  • The annual New Year’s Ceremony and Installation of new officers was held on March 24th.

25 Years ago –January, February, March 1999

• 1 Colombe serving

• Membership roster – 42 members

• Held ongoing Artisan classes on the fourth Saturday of each month with Artisan Master Mike Homyak

• TMO Master Toby Madrid conducting ongoing TMO classes

• Lodge convocations are held at 8:00 pm on the first two Fridays of the month with a Pronaos convocation held on the third Friday.  A neophyte degree forum is conducted during the Lodge convocation and after the Pronaos convocation.

• Junior Convocations are held every first Friday at 8:00 pm for the children of members

• Public Alternative Programs are presented on the 3rd Friday of each month.  These are usually Roundtable Discussions where a topic is presented, and each attendee is asked to express their thoughts and opinions on the topic

• The Lodge conducted the first degree initiation on January 23rd and 24th.

There is no information on the Lodge activities for the first quarter of 1999 other than the 1st degree initiation,.
