The Officers of the Rocky Mountain Region of AMORC would like to share information about the Region and its Affiliated Bodies. They also have interesting messages to share that we hope you find inspiring!
Greetings, Fratres, Sorores and Friends of AMORC!
The Affiliated Bodies of the Rocky Mountain Pacific Northwest Region are a wonderful way to meet with other Rosicrucians and experience an important dimension of our Order: fraternity. We would love to see you whenever you can attend! If you have never attended an affiliated body, or if you have not returned in a while, perhaps we can offer better programs and service to you. Please send me an email at ColoGC777@gmail.com to share your thoughts on making AB’s more interesting for you to attend. Your responses are confidential, and will help make our affiliated bodies better.
"As mystics throughout time have found, the road to discovery, to peace and enlightenment is a journey into Self. There is more to our conscious being than we realize and it is from within that we find the keys that unlock our inner wisdom. It is from within that we can connect with the source of knowledge that lies beyond the limits of our five senses." -- Rosicrucian Manuscript
How do we explore Self without becoming self-centered and egotistical? When one considers great mystics of the past, they seem to have had a deep understanding of Self and of the world itself, and yet were the humblest and most human of people. Somehow, an exploration of Self can result in an understanding of that which is outside of us: the world itself. Self, in this context, is not of the ego, but is an inward reflection of the outward world. That is, when we journey into Self as mystics, we do not seek to merge with conscious forms such as ego or that internal observer which comments on everything we sense and think. Rather, we seek a quiet state of vibrational harmony or resonance with that internal part of consciousness which is the reflection of the world and its actuality. In other words, the journey into self is a passive, observational state of attunement with a reflection, which itself vibrates in attunement with the external world as-it-is. In attuning with the reflection, we also attune with the vibrations that are its source. Although passive, this observational state need not be random or undirected. We can establish an intention to learn a piece of knowledge as we enter the state of attunement with the inner self, and then release ourselves to become receptive to the subtle vibrations that correspond to that which we wish to learn. Perhaps the answer presents itself as a voice, or an image, or a feeling of which we become aware as we end our state of attunement and return to ordinary consciousness. As we consider the impressions we have received, we may attain a knowledge that is not internally generated and therefore has no attachment to ego. It is an understanding, a knowing, which mystics associate with the mystical experience. It is ineffable and therefore transcends ego, for the ego describes things in relation to itself. In this way, a mystic’s true journey into Self cannot cause one to become egotistical and self-centered.
I invite you to consider your Journey into Self, and share your findings with other mystics at a Rosicrucian Affiliated Body!
Sincerely and Fraternally,
Bill Hallett

"May today there be peace within. May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith. May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be content knowing you are a child of God. Let this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of us." -- St. Teresa of Avila
Beloved Fraters and Sorors,
"The Affiliated Bodies serve as the living expressions of the Rosicrucian Order’s mission at the local level by presenting inspiring Rosicrucian rituals and ceremonies, by creating a safe community for members and seekers to study and practice the Natural Laws governing the Universe, and by representing the Rosicrucian ideals in the community." -- Rosicrucian Manuscript
The continued existence of Mountain Rose Pronaos requires two things: active members and donations. Mountain Rose Pronaos is entirely member-supported, which enables us to pay rent, hold meetings, and conduct our regular business. Monetary gifts pay the bills, but active members get the work done, and there is plenty to do. Spiritual work is important to our soul evolution, but it requires mundane work to facilitate it. We live in both worlds.
This part of the year will be very busy for Mountain Rose Pronaos. In addition to our regular Convocations, Book Salons, and Degree Forums, we will be conducting another New Member Initiation and planning the first Light, Life, and Love Walk in several years.
If we want to expand our offerings to members and seekers with events such as Open Meetings, it can’t happen unless our active members step up to help facilitate them. Grand Lodge is making new resources available for new programs, but we must provide the supporting members to make it happen. Be part of the future of Mountain Rose Pronaos and AMORC, and help us grow it into a dynamic Chapter.
We are looking for people to set up and run the library (Dewey Decimal system), facilitate pot lucks and social gatherings, repair and update ritual equipment, and manage social media. This is an opportunity for members to prepare to become affiliated body officers as well.
There is a PayPal button in this newsletter if you wish to donate that way, or just drop your love gift in our beautiful AMRA box. We appreciate everything you do. If you have any ideas for fundraising, here is an opportunity to share them.
From All Points of the Triangle,
Ed Hanson, CO Regional Monitor and Mountain Rose Pronaos Master
Beloved Fratres and Sorores,
"No one is free whose mind is not like a door with a double-hinge swinging outward to release their own ideas, and inward to receive the worthy thoughts of others." -- Ralph M. Lewis
An ancient Rosicrucian adage says, “It is from ignorance and ignorance alone that humans must free themselves.” Ignorance is at the origin of the worst things a person can do to oneself, to others, and to one’s environment. It is also the source of different superstitions that demean humanity and prevent it from finding complete fulfillment. Therefore, give a spiritual direction to your life. Do not just be a living thing, be a living soul.
So we should release ignorance and seek knowledge while improving spiritually to bring in a higher level of consciousness.
Light, Life, and Love,
Frater Nathan Klotz
Pikes Peak Atrium Group Leader
My Brothers and Sisters, Fratres and Sorores;
Most of us are pursuing our mystical studies and our journey toward enlightenment diligently with our focus on our personal growth and spiritual unfoldment. This is as it should be. We are all “students” of the mysteries no matter how long we individually have been involved in this quest and our approach should be one of humbleness and being open to new ideas and inspiration.
There is another aspect to our mystical journey, one that often gets lost in our focus on learning. In joining any of our mystical fraternities, we are aligning ourselves with a tradition of perpetuating ancient knowledge so that it is not lost to humanity. These “brotherhoods” have exited from time immemorial so that their wisdom can be made available to civilization whenever the time is right to bestow that wisdom.
Yes, sisters and brothers, you and I are part of that tradition and, as such, have a dual responsibility. We must learn and internalize the lessons offered to us by our Orders. We must study and become proficient in their practice and their wisdom. But we must also, with discretion and caution, pass on our gained wisdom to those who are in need. Not everyone is ready to listen to such advice as living in the awareness of the law of Karma and being careful with the power of their thoughts. Thus, the need for discretion.
We have an obligation to aid humanity in any way we can, and we need to be looking for ways to fulfill this. Perhaps the most subtle way for us to be a light in the world is just to live our mystical principles and let the world see the inner peace and radiant energy that surrounds us. If we wish to be less passive, we should not proselytize or preach or broadcast our knowledge to the general public, for most are not ready for our wisdom. We should wait until we sense both a genuine need for and an openness to receive greater truths. Then the time will be right to share your wisdom.
Now, I’m aware that many of you are very early in your study of mysticism and you may feel you have not yet reached that state of being ready to apply and share your knowledge. But rest assured that no matter how far we have advanced up the mountain of enlightenment, we can always reach a hand back to help the person who is behind us.
So, please always remember that we may all be lowly students, but we have an obligation to help humanity in its journey toward total enlightenment.
May you ever dwell in the Eternal Light of Divine Wisdom!
David Schloegel, S.I., F.R.C.
Provincial Master, Traditional Martinist Order
Brothers and Sisters,
All Martinists are familiar with the notion of the Grand Architect of the Universe being the Cosmic Christ, or Hely, who created the material universe under the direction of the Divine. And what a universe! Billions and billions of stars, planets, galaxies, comets and other celestial objects. The physics are so massive that it seems unlikely, at least in my mind, that we will every fully understand the magnitude of this amazing creation.
Such a massive and wonderous physical universe seems an odd contrast to the single, tiny planet that we inhabit. The Martinist notion of this planet is the place where we can regain our lost knowledge of the Divine and return to the Divine realm through reconciliation. If it’s true this planet is all we need, then why the massive universe? Certainly, it’s easy to accept that there are other life forms and that our planet is not the only seat of life. It’s also possible to imagine this planet is dedicated only to one aspect of humanity and that other aspects of humanity exist elsewhere in the material universe which together makes us a whole. But billions and billions of celestial objects? Doesn’t that seem like over-kill?
These contemplations make me think of several things. First, just as Martinist are taught that humanity can never fully understand God, we may never fully understand the universe as I said earlier. And, we probably don’t need to. Second, it makes me think of the reason we were exiled to the material universe: we attempted to create separately from the Divine. When we step back to see the magnitude and majesty of the universe created by the Grand Architect in cooperation with the Divine, we can see what is possible in that partnership.
A final thought on this topic: humanity creates nothing. We build skyscrapers, massive ships and send rockets to space – and are very impressed with our “creations.” But we can’t create the trees that build the houses, the iron that builds the ships or the food we need to sustain us. At best, we are assemblers – we take what has been created for us and transform it to our needs. Imagine what could be done with co-creation!
Looking forward to the business of the Atelier, we are now following on to our study of Pasqually’s “Treatise on the Reintegration of Beings” with an effort to study “Of Errors and of Truth,” by Louis Claude de Saint-Martin. To join this study group, please contact our Venerable Provincial Master, David Schloegel, or look for the announcement emails from him. These studies will be conducted once per month, typically on the second Saturday of the month.
Our Atelier will also be honored by the annual visit from our Venerable Provincial Master on July 13, 2024, during which he will conduct the first conventicle. All members of the Atelier are invited to attend. Please note that the schedule is different from the usual, in that the PM visit beings at 9:00 am. We hope that all members can attend this important annual event.
May we all Ever Dwell in the Eternal Light of Divine Wisdom!
Phil Goodwin, Master

Grand Lodge has extensive online offerings for both members and nonmembers. Our Regional Officers have worked together to develop Colorado Rosicrucian meetings through Zoom. These meetings are embracing a geographically expanding Rosicrucian community that is much larger than our local affiliated bodies in Colorado Springs and Denver.
Our Rocky Mountain Regional Newsletter desires to offer all our members a space to share their mystical thought/feeling/perspective. These Reflections need to be submitted to Grand Councilor Bill Hallett (cologc777@gmail.com) before newsletter publication: by November 30, February 28, May 30, August 30. The writing needs to be 500 words or less.
We invite you to share your thoughts, insights, and experiences. Share your Light with us!
