The Officers of the Rocky Mountain Region of AMORC would like to share information about the Region and its Affiliated Bodies. They also have interesting messages to share that we hope you find inspiring!
Greetings, Fratres, Sorores and Friends of AMORC!
The Affiliated Bodies of the Rocky Mountain Pacific Northwest Region are a wonderful way to meet with other Rosicrucians and experience the fraternal aspects of our Order. We love to see you when you can attend! If you have never attended an affiliated body, or it has been a long time, perhaps we can offer better programs and service to you. Please send me a personal email at ColoGC777@gmail.com to share your thoughts on making AB’s more interesting for you to attend. Your responses are confidential, and will help make our affiliated bodies better. If you live too far away to attend an AB, please consider our members-only online meetings, advertised to members via email.
"In the illustrious Rosicrucian school, there is no master and pupil. There are just <people> who share the same ideal, and who have made the decision to open the door and move forward. Do we not say that there is strength in unity? By virtue of your own journey, you can describe yourself as a mystic, because a mystical person is someone who lives in harmony with <their> objective consciousness, intuition, and feelings. Being a mystic does not mean being perfect: in the first instance, it simply means being aware of what would need to be done, in order to become so." -- Christian Bernard
I think our former Imperator is saying that perfection is the destination, not the journey. We try to understand what is needed to become perfect so that we can take fewer steps along the Path, to eventually arrive there. But this thought raises some interesting questions – namely, what are some of the things we must do to approach perfection? For me, this is first a question of lifestyle: we must strive to live up to the ideals of a mystic before the inward changes leading to perfection will begin to manifest within our being and consciousness. This brings to mind the 22 points of the Rosicrucian Code of Life (here’s a video link; and here's a podcast link).
Most Rosicrucians are familiar with the Code of Life. But how often do we review it? Do we recognize and become inspired when others embody these shared ideals? Whenever I review the Code of Life, I become aware of many examples of my shortcomings. But I also find, happily, that some behaviors are becoming more ingrained in my being. More and more, the points of the Code become internalized and rise higher in my consciousness awareness. This helps to enable more deliberate responses during both regular and mystical activities, as opposed to reacting (sometimes mindlessly!) to the so-called external world. I hope to master application of the Rosicrucian Code of Life during this lifetime. Then, perhaps the next steps leading to mystical perfection will become clear. What is your experience of the requirements and pathway to perfection?
I hope your journey is fulfilling, and that you easily hear the urgings of the Master Within as you travel the mystic's Path.
Sincerely and Fraternally,
Bill Hallett

"Something is waiting for us to make ground for it. Something that lingers near us, something that loves, something that waits for the right ground to be made so it can make its full presence known. " -- Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estés
Beloved Fraters and Sorors,
After a long, hot summer, we are entering a new season that heralds great changes. Changes in weather, as we enter the fall season, changes in operations at Mountain Rose Pronaos, as we turn to a new openness in the service we provide for humanity and our members, changes in our personal lives as our country and our world changes.
Are you ready for these changes? Change is the only constant in the Cosmic. Everything changes, and we must be ready and able to pivot along with those changes. If we are centered and grounded in our thinking, our work, and our daily lives, we will be able to move, to survive, and even to thrive in times of great change. A strong connection to our Master Within will help us to ride the wave of change, to meet challenges as they rise, to proceed in our lives triumphantly, confidently, jubilantly, and joyfully, and not be thrown into chaos and despair.
There is a new world waiting for all of us, as Dr. Estés said, and the Rosicrucian teachings are preparing us for this. A world of love, tolerance, community, family, compassion, and empathy. Our Rosicrucian community is spread around the globe and the beneficial effects of this fraternity are becoming evident as the Rosicrucian egregoire becomes more prevalent.
AMORC, the Colorado Region, and Mountain Rose Pronaos are working hard to provide opportunities to contribute to this egregore, but it is up to you to step up and add your own Light, Life, and Love to this energy.
From All Points of the Triangle,
Ed Hanson, CO Regional Monitor and Mountain Rose Pronaos Master
Beloved Fratres and Sorores,
"Be humanistic. Regard all humanity as your family. Beyond race, culture, and belief, all human beings are brothers and sisters. Consequently, they all deserve the same respect and consideration." -- Rose + Croix Code of Life
H. Spencer Lewis talked about when we have unfavorable impressions or ill-will towards others, then we cause our own physical and mental suffering. In order to relieve it, we must look to see what precedes this period of time and what thoughts, conditions, and attitudes we need to change. We must work to instead hold thoughts of love and kindness towards all of humanity. So let go of the poison of the mind that is eating at the heart, and work towards positive thoughts and manifestations. This can be good to remember when surrounded by politics for the election. Are you holding any unfavorable thoughts, conditions, or attitudes about your brothers and sisters?
Love, Light, and Life,
Frater Nathan Klotz

My Brothers and Sisters, Fratres and Sorores;
How often are you aware of the subtle guidance and instruction that is continually provided to you by God? He/She is always speaking to you, showing you through object lessons the path that leads to Peace Profound. We have only to quiet ourselves, listen to the inspiring messages, and align ourselves with the truths imparted.
Let me provide an example from my own life.
Years ago I would take a daily lunch walk to re-attune myself during a busy work day. I found myself becoming increasingly upset day by day as new construction diverted a beautiful little stream from its pristine foothill creek bed into a bulldozed, muddy new track. How can people so mar the beauty of nature, I thought. God's world is so delicate and it will take years for the balance and life giving energies to return to this innocent little stream. I saw it as a violation of the creek, of nature, and of me since daily I would draw energy from this particular aspect of God's wonderful world. I missed the lapping of the waters over the smooth rocks, the waving of the grass at the water's edge, and the crystal clearness of the water itself. Yes, I thought, this was truly a sin against nature.
Then I noticed the sounds coming from the diverted creek. It was still bubbling and gurgling! It was still emitting the joyful sounds of a mountain stream! It was not devastated. It was not depressed. It was still singing of the joy of nature and God. It had taken all the new obstacles and the muddiness and the lack of a familiar path all in stride. The stream DIDN'T CARE! It kept its focus on the beautiful, on the holy, on God, and didn't let mundane obstacles and transitory events deter it from its purpose. It trusted that God would give it power to overcome any obstacle and to see it through.
What a revelation that event was to me! What a gift from God in the form of a natural symbol! If we all could just have the same trust in God as that little creek we could travel through life with confidence and not worry about what's around the next corner. That corner may bring huge obstacles to overcome, may cause us a lot of effort, but we need not concern ourselves about the final outcome. God has given us the resources, the power, to continue our life journey and we must have trust. We can have the joy of the little stream while working on the challenge.
This was my experience and the lesson I learned by being quiet and listening.
Brothers and Sisters, Fraters and Sorores, always be aware of such subtle and yet illuminating experiences in your life. God is continually speaking to us, guiding us, leading us if we will only listen. Make it a point to always be open to His/Her subtle messages.
May you ever dwell in the Eternal Light of Divine Wisdom!
David Schloegel, S.I., F.R.C.
Provincial Master, Traditional Martinist Order
Brothers and Sisters,
When one takes on a role as an Atelier officer, the endpoint of that service seems no more than an abstract concept. Traditional Martinist Order officers take on a six-year commitment as each person advances from Sentinel to Orator and finally Master. These advancements take place bi-annually with the beginning of a new two-year cycle. Thus, it seems almost surreal that my time as an Atelier officer is now at an end. Because of a “lost year” due to the COVID pandemic, my time as an officer has actually been seven years rather than the normal six.
One does not take on the role of an officer due to superior knowledge or mystical skills. Indeed, every Martinist student arrives as a new Associate with unique understandings and perspectives that become valuable nuggets of wisdom to others. Our conventicles are a gathering of likeminded peers, not teachers and students. Thus, being an officer is purely a service role. Without officers enabling conventicles, sisters and brothers would not be able to gather and share the insights that raise the consciousness and energies of everyone. In fact, it is this sharing that makes Atelier membership and attendance so much more elevating than reading the materials alone.
The ”lost year” due to COVID turned out to be a bonus year. During the time when we could not meet in person, we used the opportunity to connect via Zoom and discuss Martinez de Pasqually’s Treatise on the Reintegration of Beings. Without the pandemic, quite candidly, I would never have studied this work that is so seminal to Martinism. It brought forth ideas and understandings that I otherwise would have never gotten. Most importantly, it attracted brothers and sisters from across the country and even some international seekers. We are now united in a bond that none anticipated. It is thus with mysticism: we begin with a belief in what we are seeking and are blessed with gifts we never could have imagined.
Of course, one of the true gifts is the people one meets in Martinism. I must start with our Sister Terry Orlikoski, who transitioned during her term as Atelier Master and while I was Orator. Terry and I joined the Order at the same time in 2010 and thus shared many conventicles, ideas and discussions over the years. I am better for having known her. I also thank our brother Paul Fuqua, Orator, and sister Sarah Davis, Sentinel, for the amazing support and service they have given to me and the Atelier. As Paul assumes the role of Master and Sarah the role of Orator, I look forward to the light they will bring to our studies. Most of all, I thank our Provincial Master, David Schloegel, for his mentorship and invaluable counsel. The Martinist knowledge and mystical wisdom that he brings to our group is profound and deeply appreciated.
May we all Ever Dwell in the Eternal Light of Divine Wisdom!
Phil Goodwin, Master (2023-2024)

Grand Lodge has extensive online offerings for both members and nonmembers. Our Regional Officers have worked together to develop Colorado Rosicrucian meetings through Zoom. These meetings are embracing a geographically expanding Rosicrucian community that is much larger than our local affiliated bodies in Colorado Springs and Denver.
Our Rocky Mountain Regional Newsletter desires to offer all our members a space to share their mystical thought/feeling/perspective. These Reflections need to be submitted to Grand Councilor Bill Hallett (cologc777@gmail.com) before newsletter publication: by November 30, February 28, May 30, August 30. The writing needs to be 500 words or less.
We invite you to share your thoughts, insights, and experiences. Share your Light with us!
