The Officers of the Rocky Mountain Region of AMORC would like to share information about the Region and its Affiliated Bodies. They also have interesting messages to share that we hope you find inspiring!
Greetings, Fratres, Sorores and Friends of AMORC!
I hope this message finds you healthy, happy, and at harmony with the world! 2022 was a positive year for our Region’s Affiliated Bodies (AB’s). All three of the AMORC AB’s, plus the TMO AB, resumed in-person events for members and the public. Mountain Rose Pronaos (in Denver) and Enneadic Star Pronaos (in Portland) both found beautiful and stately new quarters. Pikes Peak Atrium Group (in Colorado Springs) is holding quarterly open meetings. Rocky Mountain Atelier is starting a new cycle of the study of Martinist philosophy. All the AB’s, however, would also benefit from increased attendance. If you can join your local AB for events, I encourage you to do so. The communion and attunement from participating in Rosicrucian ceremonies with other Seekers causes wonderful and beneficial vibrations in the mind and soul – please drop by and find out for yourself! Many AB’s provide opportunities for non-members to also participate in this Work.
“The mystics of today – as those of the ancient times – know that God exists everywhere and that His principal place of abode is in the heart of man. They know and feel that when they attune themselves with God they are attuning the outer self with the inner self, and through this means communing with the God Consciousness within them. For this reason they have always been inclined to think of God as dwelling in the holy temple that is a temple of the soul. It was this idea that prompted the plan of having thousands of sincere and understanding individuals sit in meditation and attunement at the same hours and direct their thoughts to the same invisible and immaterial temple which we call the temple of the soul. Through such concentration and attunement there come joy and peace and harmony to the soul of man, and there come strength and tonic to the body.”
-- Anonymous, Rosicrucian Digest (May 1938), “Reaching God”
Sitting in quiet meditation, attuning with the Master Within in the temple of the soul, provides remarkable benefits to the body, mind, and soul. If you have been introduced to Liber 777 (The Celestial Sanctum), you have been given a key for attuning at a deeper level with like-minded Seekers on a higher plane of consciousness and have discovered an even greater level of attunement. Attunement is stronger and more vibrant when we connect with other Seekers in a common purpose. This experience is enhanced even further when we meditate in a sacred space, and in the presence of other mystics, because the physical and psychic vibrations are enhanced. A sacred space becomes stronger the more often a group of sincere and dedicated mystics uses it for these purposes. An Affiliated Body provides such a sacred space.
(note: Liber 777 is available to members and non-members at this link!)
Sincerely and Fraternally,
Bill Hallett

When I stepped up to the office of Master of Mountain Rose Pronaos, I had no idea what I was going to do. I felt a need to act because this affiliated body was struggling. It was facing several challenges, one of which was an unaffordable meeting place. I presented a plan for revitalizing Mountain Rose and I verbalized a vision of moving into a beautiful new home by March of 2023. This has been accomplished a couple of months early, with the help and faith of the pronaos members. Together, we conducted a visualization for the quarters we would like to see, and shortly after it manifested as an invitation to come to the highlands Masonic Temple, which we have done.
But this is only step one. There were several other steps in the Revitalization Plan, which we must address. We now have the use of a magnificent, stately building and temple in which to conduct our Great Work. Our next challenge is to build our membership into a powerful and dynamic body of members who can and will contribute their light and energy to the growth and appeal of Mountain Rose Pronaos, who will provide material, spiritual, psychic, and intellectual support to the health and growth of this affiliated body and help MRP to shine its light stronger and brighter than ever before. Let this affiliated body become a beacon in Denver, in Colorado, and in the West as a gathering place for spiritual growth and healing. Let it become a school for future teachers, guides, and mentors who can reach out to others to spread the Light.
Another challenge we face is connecting with younger people. English Grand Lodge is putting a lot of focus on appealing to young people, even resurrecting an AMORC teaching program for children. Let us visualize a path to this endeavor, that we can find the inspirations, the people, and the means by which we could pursue this. Fortunately, other ABs across the country are already having success with this effort, so we have some resources available. [editor's note: almost 80% of members in the Rocky Mountain Region have been members of AMORC for 5 years or less]
Beloved Fraters and Sorors, I so look forward to seeing you at our activities soon. I hope you will join us for our events. Go in Love and Peace.
In the Bonds of the Order,
Ed Hanson, CO Regional Monitor and Mountain Rose Pronaos Master
Beloved Fraters and Sorors,
Why do we have challenges? We enter our sanctums and attend Rosicrucian convocations to help us overcome those challenges at an inner level, a mystical level. But why have challenges at all?
On the other hand, what would life be worth if we had no challenges?
The alchemists of the late Middle Ages were famous for their search for the Philosopher’s Stone, the magic elixir or object that would turn lead into gold. Kings and Queens sponsored them, hoping to become wealthy.
What most people never thought of, was that if the alchemists had discovered the secret, then gold would have become worthless overnight! The value of gold lay in its scarcity.
On the other hand, perhaps the alchemists did understand the secret. Perhaps their quest was no more than an allegorical quest, hidden from those with little or no understanding of the deeper mysteries.
Perhaps the quest for gold was really nothing more than the quest to improve ourselves, so that we would be worth much more. And that is one of the principal purposes of self-mastery… to continually improve ourselves so that we can be bigger than any challenge. To improve ourselves so that we are worth more than any physical treasure.
Our Rosicrucian lessons were designed so that each student can master their lives by becoming, by turning ourselves into gold! This is the true secret of alchemy.
Which of our lessons can you use most effectively to turn yourself into a mystical master, one who becomes the gold everyone is searching for?
With all good wishes for Peace Profound, I am
Dave Wheeler
Pikes Peak Atrium Group Leader

Sisters and Brothers, Sorores and Fraters,
Here we are in January. This is a very significant time on so many levels. It is the beginning of a new year, it is the beginning of the solar cycle where the days are getting longer, it is the time when we set new goals or resolutions, and it is beginning of a new cycle in the study of Martinist philosophy at the Rocky Mountain Atelier. It also happens to be the beginning of holding our meetings in a new building for AMORC and TMO. So many beginnings!
Our lives have been, to a greater or lesser extent, on hold for the past few years as COVID has stifled our normal activities. It seems it is now time to break out and fully resume those activities that are so dear to us. This would be, and is, the normal path for the average person. But as mystics we seek more than just physical activity and stimulus. For us, the time is right to actively renew our pursuit of spiritual study and practice and bringing our light to manifest more brightly in this spiritually dim world.
At this time of beginnings, I urge you to become still within and sense and experience the all-pervasive energies of change and renewal. Let this energy refresh your being and lead you to new heights of dedication and accomplishment. Resolve to become the model of spiritual light that will be the example to others and help them reach toward a more harmonious and joyful life.
May you ever dwell in the Eternal Light of Divine Wisdom!
David Schloegel, S.I., F.R.C.
Provincial Master, Traditional Martinist Order
Physics teaches that a body in motion stays in motion in a straight line until an outside force causes it to change direction or stop. The force could be gravity, collision with another object or resistance. A life maxim based on this physical law might be, “Inertia is the enemy of change.” Indeed, inertia in life is often our biggest obstacle to making the change (or, more likely changes) we know we need to make. In other words, procrastination.
Humans, and perhaps all living beings, seek a comfort zone in which they can operate without making any changes. We just keep going in the same direction.
Joining the Traditional Martinist Order and becoming initiated required each of us to get out of our comfort zone and make a change. Completing the full six-year cycle required prioritizing conventicles over personal plans, and for many, an additional sacrifice of time and money to travel to the Atelier.
In January, the Atelier will welcome a new class of Associates who will join all of us in making an important change aimed at transforming our perspectives of the Divine. Many will succumb back to a comfort zone, at least for the time being, while others will retain the quest of the seeker to completion of the program.
Regardless of our status as members of the Order, let us all join the new Associates in making a life change that we know we need. If your TMO studies have fallen by the wayside, restarting them may bring positive change; perhaps attending the Rosicrucian Festival of Lights regenerates the spirit. Or, there may be something you’ve been meaning to do for a long time that is equally important. Regardless of what it might be, take a step now to defeat inertia and give yourself that nudge in the right direction. The New Year is a traditional time of renewal and fresh starts. We wish you the best in your life journey in 2023!
May we all ever dwell in the Eternal Light of Divine Wisdom,
Phil Goodwin, Master

Grand Lodge has extensive online offerings for both members and nonmembers. Our Regional Officers have worked together to develop Colorado Rosicrucian meetings through Zoom. These meetings are embracing a geographically expanding Rosicrucian community that is much larger than our local affiliated bodies in Colorado Springs and Denver.
Our Rocky Mountain Regional Newsletter desires to offer all our members a space to share their mystical thought/feeling/perspective. These Reflections need to be submitted to Grand Councilor Bill Hallett (cologc777@gmail.com) for review 4 weeks prior to newsletter publication: November 30, February 28, May 30, August 30. The writing needs to be 500 words or less.
We invite you to share your thoughts, insights, and experiences. Share your Light with us!
