Fall 2015
Greetings Brothers and Sisters,
The key word today is “deliberate”, along with deliberation. We don’t see this word too often but it is hidden in many of the other words we know. Sometimes we call it “focus” but this is more. We are so proud of our multitasking abilities that we lose track of what it means to be deliberate.
We know we have to be deliberate when we enter our sanctum to study and to pray but what about the rest of our day? Let us look at some actions where deliberation might be profitable. Consider eating. We say a blessing over the food but do we stop to think whether this food is best for us. If we were deliberate in our choice of food, we might not need to think of that awful word “diet”.
How many times have you driven home without even realizing you are there until you pull into the driveway? Driving deliberately would save many accidents and maybe even lives.
When we watch TV or scan the newspaper, what thoughts are entering our minds? We need to be deliberate in what we watch, read, or even think about. Each thought and its corresponding actions are like little magnets that cling to our soul and become the material that builds our future.
In the evening as we prepare to sleep, do we review the day and then have a conversation with our inner self about either programming a dream or at least make sure that a pen and paper is available to write down a dream presented to us in the night?
It is said that many humans are spiritually asleep. Making sure that we are deliberate in our thoughts and actions will ensure that “the words of our mouths and the meditations of our hearts are acceptable in thy sight”.
Which leads us to another subject. The TMO two year cycle is winding down and another two year cycle will start again in January 2016. It is not too soon to start thinking about adding your light to those of fellow Martinists for the next two year cycle. The Associate Initiation will be administered in January. A new schedule is being developed. If you think you would like to join us, the TMO Provincial Master must approve all requests for the Associate Initiation. Members wishing to take this initiation should contact me at je4tmo@gmail.com, or the Provincial Master, David Schloegel at d.schloegel@msn.com before December 19, 2015, for additional details.
May you ever dwell in the Eternal Light of Divine Wisdom.

Fall 2015
My Brothers and Sisters, Fraters and Sorores;
As members of our esoteric schools, as mystics, we have taken on a special way of life. This, of course, assumes that we take our study and our practice seriously. I know that there are those who are intellectually curious and there are those whose goals are to seek for worldly advantage and power. Fortunately these people give up the study rather quickly. Those who stay the course and seriously pursue knowledge and experience of the esoteric, the Divine, the Cosmic, find rewards beyond their greatest expectations.
There is another deterrent to remaining true to our work – familiarity. It has been my experience that even with amazing spiritual events and insights, even with attainment of flashes of Cosmic Consciousness, the human condition is such that we integrate these into normal, every-day life. We stop thinking of them as special and life changing. There is a part of us that assumes that all the other people we encounter have had similar experiences – and we lose the sharpness, the pointed awareness that we are mystics, emissaries of the Divine, and therefore let fade into commonness the awareness that we have a special task to perform on this earth. As mystics we have two tasks to perform: first, to immerse ourselves in our study and our practice, and to continue to break down the barriers between our worldly selves and our divine selves, and second, but equally imperative, to take whatever knowledge and experience we have gained and put it to use to help lead all of humanity to a higher plane of consciousness.
We are not just recipients of Divine knowledge – we are charged to make a difference in this world. We are bearers of the mantle of leadership to humanity. We are knights on the quest to bring humanity back to its original condition of spiritual consciousness and integration with the Divine realm.
We do this not by coercion, not by applying pressure or guilt – this is the way of many organizations and philosophies but it is not for us. We bring our light to humanity by our own example and by making available to those who are ready esoteric principles. We live in the light and we radiate that light to all of humankind. The principles by which we live and the love we radiate are contagious and we draw to us, and bring some degree of spiritual awareness to, all those we come in contact with.
My Brothers and Sisters, my Fraters and Sorores, please never forget the importance of the task we have undertaken as members of the Rosicrucian Order and the Traditional Martinist Order. We have a vital duty to perform and it is the very purpose of our being here and now.
May you ever dwell in the Eternal Light of Divine Wisdom!
