Mrs. Rizzotti joined the Amity music department in the fall of 2016. She is an Amity graduate ('04) and proud to be able to direct the choirs that had an impact on her high school experience. Mrs. Rizzotti attended Wingate University in North Carolina where she majored in Music (Vocal Performance) and played NCAA volleyball. She earned her Masters in Music Education from the University of Bridgeport in 2010 and has been in the classroom ever since. She is also the advisor of Amity's accapella group, Rhythmix and the co-adivsor of Amity Creative Theater. She is also the musical director for the Amity Musicals. She has directed the music for "Fiddler on the Roof", "Addams Family", "Catch Me If You Can", "The Drowsy Chaperone" (cancelled in 2020), "Anastasia", "Mamma Mia!", "Beauty and the Beast" and "Mean Girls", "The Theory of Relativity" (Scotland, Fringe Festival 2025) and "The Little Mermaid". Outside of school, Mrs. Rizzotti has musical directed children's theater at Turkey Hill Elementary School and at Shelton's Center Stage. She has two boys who are very active in their school and in sports in the community.
