Grading

Grades will be based on scores earned from classwork, homework, projects, participation, and assessments. Letter grades will be assigned based on the percentage correct. A=90-100% B= 80-89% C= 70-79% D =60-69%.

Grades can be checked online using the Parent Internet Viewer. Contact the middle school office for more details and passwords.

Late Assignments

Student are expected to complete work on time. If an assignment deadline is missed, students have one week to complete and turn in the missing work. Late assignments will earn no higher than a C, unless the student has communicated with me, and has been granted an extension. Assignments turned in more than a week late will not be accepted for points and graded.

Correcting Work

Most assignments, besides quizzes and tests, can be corrected once for additional learning and points.

Absences

Ill students will be given extra time to complete missed work. It will be the absent students responsibility to notify me and the middle school office that they are not well, and to make up all missed work in a timely manner.

Academic Honesty

Students are expected to do their own work. Giving answers to another student or copying work from the internet or another resource is not honest and does not help a student to grow academically.

Students who are caught cheating, and/or giving answers to another student will receive an automatic zero on that assignment and parents will be contacted. Additional consequences may be given.
