Grades are communicated through Aspen. Please check weekly. 

Journey Team Homework & Late Work Policy:

Our goal is to help students build responsibility, stay organized, and develop consistent study habits. While each subject area may have unique assignments and expectations, the following guidelines apply across all classes on our team:

1. Grades in Aspen

   • Aspen is the official record of student progress. Students and families should check Aspen at least once a week for the most up-to-date information on grades. 

   • Teachers will update Aspen regularly to reflect academic performance and communicate grades. It is the responsibility of families to monitor Aspen and, if desired, sign up for grade notifications. 

   • We encourage families to discuss grades together and then reach out to teachers with any questions or concerns.

   • Google Classroom is a tool for posting and submitting assignments, but Aspen reflects actual progress and performance.

2. Late Work

   • Students must notify the teacher through a private comment in Google Classroom or via email when late digital work has been submitted, requesting that it be reviewed and graded.

   • For paper-and-pencil work, students should hand the assignment directly to the teacher.

   • Late work will be reviewed and graded weekly. It may take several days for grades to be updated in Aspen.

3. Teacher-Specific Guidelines

   • Each teacher may provide additional details or expectations for their class. These will be communicated directly to students in Google Classroom and/or in class.
