Philosophy of TE

(Tech Education)

I believe that education is a lot more than just a curriculum. TE is about giving students experiences & opportunities with technology that motivate them to become productive & independent learners.

Topics

-Computer Ethics, Internet Safety, Social Media Do’s & Don’ts

-Documents: Pages, Google Docs, Google Forms & Google Drawings

-Google Drive

-Presentation Technology: Keynote, iMovie, Smart Board Software, Google Slides

-Digital Photography: iPhoto & Various Apps (PicsArt, Pic Collage, Photoshop Mix)

-Apps for Education: Google Earth, Quizlet, Evernote, Khan Academy, etc.

Communication

We will be using The Power Teacher/ Power School Gradebook Program (Mobile App Available to parents) this year for posting grades. There is an excellent app online that is extremely user friendly. Your student’s username and passwords for Power School will be coming soon.
