Make-up Procedures for Excused Absence from Concert
Performances are graded assignments, so students must make up a missed performance even if they have an excuse. The May 22nd concert date has been communicated since the beginning of the year through email, Mrs. Anderson’s website, and the AJH newsletter, so only illnesses or emergencies will be accepted as excuses for the concert. (If a student misses and does not have an excuse, he or she will receive a “zero” for the concert grade and cannot make it up.) If excused from a performance, students may choose one of the following make-up options:
Perform - During study hall or before/after school, sing all concert songs for Mrs. Anderson.
Perform - Sing one song of choice from the concert in front of the class.
Essay – Write one paragraph about each song performed in the concert. Each paragraph should cover what we learned in class for each song (not information found on the internet).
Monday 5/20, Tuesday 5/21: Rehearse for concert
Wednesday 5/22: Spring Concert (See information above.)
Thursday 5/23: Awards Ceremony
