The Steele Advanced Manufacturing program launched its first class in January 2024. It is made possible by Lorain County Community College (LCCC) by training our staff and loaning over $220,000 of robotics and PLC equipment. In September of 2024, we were awarded the Ohio Career Technical Education Equipment grant receiving over $1.6 M through the office of Governor Dewine, Lt. Governor Husted and the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce. Today, our lab prepares students for exciting careers in the manufacturing field by providing industry experiences and hands-on learning. Our students have access to equipment that few high schools in the country use. Our program offers industry credentials, college credit through LCCC and a strong foundation in the fields of industrial robotics, programmable logic controllers, mechanical & pneumatic systems and Industry 4.0.Â
