AMS Library Philosophy
The philosophy of the AMS Library is to provide a welcoming and dynamic learning environment that empowers students to be collaborative, curious, creative, and competent users and producers of information, and to foster an enjoyment of reading.
I am a transplant to Amherst County but love this place that I now call home. I have raised 3 children in Amherst. I enjoy camping, reading (big suprise), and spending time with my family
I've taught 3rd, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grades in Germany, Nelson County, and Amherst County prior to becoming a librarian.
I started college in Munich, Germany at the Univ of Maryland. I then transferred to Univ of Colorado in Colorado Springs and eventually graduated college from Univ of Northern Iowa. I obtained my library degree from Marshall University.
