Section 1: Inquiry Question and Concept Exploration
Explanation of the guiding question or concept
Inquiry Statement: How can perspective drawing techniques be used to invent a believable space that blends imagination with realism?
Section 2: Connections
Cultural, historical, and artistic influences with critical evaluation.
I chose this artwork from Claire not just because I really liked it and it caught my attention, but because I loved all the colors and details she put into her art. I really liked how she added curves in certain parts to convey the perspective in this piece. (49 words)

Why: With this artwork, I wanted to learn about crowshatching and different pen sizes to do this pen artwork. (18 words)
Section 6: Communicate and Reflect
Challenges, successes, and self-evaluation of how the artwork aligns with the inquiry question.
When I first started this perspective drawing, I thought it would be easy and not complicated after I did the perspective practices while investigating. I was wrong; there is so much more to these types of artworks. For example, the crosshatching can vary depending on the texture, such as grass and the normal shade. For the grass texture, I needed to draw more grass on top of the grass to make it darker and create the shade I accomplished. Also, all the circles I did for the tree leaves took time, but they turned out really nicely. I also drew some circles on top of circles to create more shade and make them pop. A challenge I had to overcome was to fix something I had already done. Since everything was in pen when I started experimenting on paper, before I did some practices at the start, I did some things in pen, and they turned out bad, so later, when I did the practices actually, with help from Ms. Shambureck, I got to fix them, like the grass shading next to the table. That grass shading was at first a big, messy crosshatch I did, as shown in one of the creation pictures. So when I practiced the grass texture, I was able to do it well and cover the bad shade I had done before. (227 words)
