ARJUN SETHI

Arjun Singh Sethi is a community activist, civil rights lawyer, and law professor based in Washington, DC. He works closely with Muslim, Arab, South Asian, and Sikh communities and advocates for racial justice, equity, and social change at the local and national levels. He holds faculty positions at Georgetown University Law Center and Vanderbilt University Law School and is the editor of American Hate: Survivors Speak Out, an NPR Best Book of 2018.

DALIA MOGAHED

Dalia Mogahed is the Director of Research at the Institute for Social Policy and Understanding, where she leads the organization’s pioneering research and thought leadership programs on American Muslims. Mogahed is former Executive Director of the Gallup Center for Muslim Studies, where she led the analysis of surveys of Muslim communities worldwide. With John L. Esposito, she co-authored the book Who Speaks for Islam? What a Billion Muslims Really Think.

DEAN OBEIDALLAH

Dean is a lawyer turned writer and award winning comedian. He’s the host of SiriusXM radio’s daily program “The Dean Obeidallah show” making him the first Muslim American to host a national radio show. Dean is the co-director/co-producer of the comedy documentary entitled “The Muslims are Coming!” featuring a stand up comedy tour of Muslim-Americans performing free shows across the South and West in the hopes of countering anti-Muslim bigotry.

KALIA ABIADE

Kalia Abiade is the Managing Director for Strategy and Partnerships at the Pillars Fund. Prior to joining Pillars, she worked with community-based organizations, faith groups, and national coalitions to advance justice for immigrants, Muslims, and communities of color in the U.S. She has more than 15 years of experience as a local newspaper journalist and editor. She currently serves as a board member for Grantmakers Concerned with Immigrants and Refugees and is a graduate of the University of Florida.
