Our Mission

   Thank you so much for your interest in our mission, we are extremely excited to begin and cannot wait to be in Lima sharing the Gospel through soccer missions! Before I moved back to the US to study; God used many different events in my life to call me into missions, specifically sports missions.  While I was at college, God provided many opportunities for my wife and I to work with our church in many soccer and volleyball camps.   These camps were an incredible blessing as we were able to witness to hundreds of kids and their families because of sports outreaches. Kimberly and I began praying about missions and how God would direct our lives.  While we were pursuing other ministry opportunities my mom told us about this mission agency called Ambassadors Football that had recently begun an after school program at their church in Sol de La Molina.  After spending a lot of time praying and seeking counsel from our pastors and family we felt God leading us to serve in Peru with Ambassadors Football. 

            Ambassadors Football’s goal is to share the Gospel through soccer outreaches.  In Peru they have three main ministry focuses.  The first priority is partnering with local churches to help them reach their communities, just as they have been working in my parent’s church in La Molina. In these churches we host weekly practice sessions where we coach kids from the communities and finish with a different topic each week. This way we can always be sharing the Gospel but also focus on discipleship as well. We also travel to different areas in Peru to partner with churches and teach them how to run camps that bring in kids and their families to play soccer and hear the Gospel.

 Their second focus is working alongside Christian schools where we can also bring in kids from the neighborhood that want to learn and take part in developed practice sessions.   In Lima we are currently working with two Christian schools.  Through these two ministries we are hoping to be able to start an Ambassadors soccer club that can start competing with the other club teams in Lima.  I am very excited about the possibility of this ministry because I grew up in the club soccer environment in Lima and have seen how difficult it is to reach these athletes, but once you develop some common ground and they respect you as an athlete and person they are very open to hearing about the Gospel. 

 One area of ministry that I am extremely excited about is our professional soccer outreach.  Since I grew up playing soccer in Peru I have many friends that are now playing professional soccer, many of whom accepted Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior.  These guys have an amazing testimony and are so excited to be able to share that through soccer ministries! We are praying that these men will have a massive influence in thousands of kids lives throughout Lima, and South America as we partner with them through sports missions.  

 I hope this answers a lot about our mission agency sports missions. Our desire is to share the Gospel with as many people as we can but also connect them to churches and help disciple them as well. 

We are currently living in Lima, where we work with around 100 people each week.  We have our kids soccer programs through the week and then each weekend we have a men's pickup game.  Please pray for us as we try to reach all of these people for God's glory!
