Jesus is the Beginning of God’s NEW Creation!
***What Does Revelation 3:14 TRULY mean?
Here is Revelation 3:14 from the KJV. “And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;”
Why would God need a Faithful and Truthful WITNESS in the eternity past?
The context is talking about Jesus being God’s faithful and truthful WITNESS who is the BEGINNING of God’s new creation of new creatures created in righteousness.
And Jesus is the FIRSTBORN from the dead among many BRETHREN, the BEGINNING of the church of the FIRSTBORN!
Revelation 1:5 teaches us that the Son of MAN, Jesus, became God’s faithful witness when God raised him from the DEAD.

Revelation 1:5 Teaches us WHEN Jesus Became God’s WITNESS!
Trinitarian Christians use these two verses of Scriptures in the Book of Revelation, along with a few other passages of Scripture, to try to prove that Jesus is the Creator of everything that exists in the entire universe.
But in TRUTH, all of those verses speak of God’s new creation of new creatures, who Almighty God the Father Himself creates in His Son, Jesus Christ.
Chapter 3.
Does Revelation 3:14 and 4:11 Prove that Jesus is the CREATOR?
In chapter 1 of this book called “Does John 1:1-3 Teach us that Jesus is the CREATOR?”, we learned that the context of John 1:1-14 is speaking of God’s new creation of new creatures.
And in chapter 2 called, “Does Ephesians 3:9 Prove that Jesus is the CREATOR?”, we learned that the context in that passage of Scripture was also about God’s new creation.
And thus, neither of those passages of Scripture have anything to do with Jesus being the Creator of the universe or as being the Creator of God’s new creation either.
But rather, it was BECAUSE of the obedience of the human Son of MAN, Jesus, that many other brethren can ALSO become the eternal Sons and daughters of God.
I will explain more of what I mean by this as you read this chapter.
Let us begin by reading Revelation 3:14 so that you can also see that the context is about God’s new creation of believers in God’s Messiah, Jesus.
Revelation 3:14.
“And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things said the Amen, the FAITHFUL and TRUE WITNESS, the BEGINNING of the creation of God;”
The word “begin” means to start or to perform the first part of an action. And the action in this case is the CREATION of God. Therefore, it was the FAITHFUL and TRUE WITNESS who STARTED or who performed the FIRST part of the CREATION of God.
So then, the question becomes, “WHICH creation of God is this verse of Scripture talking about?”
Is it the creation of God in the eternity past as Trinitarian Christians claim?
Or is it God's creation of PEOPLE being made NEW CREATURES of righteousness in Jesus the Messiah?
What does the CONTEXT teach us? Well, to me, I have to ask the question, “WHY would a God the Son, the second person of a Godhead Trinity God need to be a FAITHFUL and TRUE WITNESS to begin the creation of God in the eternity past?”
I mean nothing but God Himself would have existed. So WHO was God the Son being a faithful and true witness to?
So, to me, the LOGICAL answer is that Revelation 3:14 is speaking of God’s NEW creation of righteous humans.
And Jesus is the BEGINNING of God’s NEW CREATURES.
Does not Colossians 1:15 teach us that Jesus is the IMAGE of the invisible God, the FIRSTBORN of every CREATURE?
And does not Colossians 2:18 teach us that Jesus is the BEGINNING, the FIRSTBORN from the DEAD.
Let us go ahead and read those two verses of Scripture without verse 16,17, so that you can see the CONTEXT of Colossians 1:16,17 without your Trinitarian glasses on.
Colossians 1:15,18-20.
“Who is the IMAGE of the invisible God, the firstborn of every CREATURE: (Or who is the firstborn from the DEAD of every new creature, the BEGINNING of the creation of God.
A CREATURE is a creation of God. Therefore, Jesus is a CREATION of God and NOT the Creator of the entire universe as Trinitarian Christians claim)…
…Colossians 1:18. And he is the head of the BODY, the church: who is the BEGINNING, (Or the CREATION of God, according to Revelation 3:14) the FIRSTBORN from the DEAD; (Or the STARTING of the firstborn of many BRETHREN to be made in the image of God, according to Romans) that in ALL [things] he might have the preeminence.
Colossians 1:19. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;
Colossians 1:20. And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him, to reconcile all things unto Himself; by him, I say, whether they are things in earth, or things in heaven.”
I highlighted the English word “things” in green to draw your attention to the fact that they are NOT in the original Greek text.
A more correct translation would be as follows.
A more correct translation of Colossians 1:20.
“And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him, to RECONCILE ALL as many as whosoever ones (Who believe) unto Himself; by him, I say, whether they are the ONES upon earth, or the ONES in heaven.”
For you see, the Greek word “Pas” means ALL and the CONTEXT is speaking of PEOPLE, not things being reconciled.
But rather, it is the ALL of whosoever believes in Jesus as their Lord and Savior are the ONES who are reconciled.
And some of the ONES who have been reconciled are up in heaven, while the ONE upon the earth are still being conformed into the IMAGE of Jesus, the BEGINNING of God’s new creation of righteous new creatures.
So then, clearly, Revelation 3:14 does NOT prove that Jesus is the Creator of the entire universe in the eternity past as Trinitarian Christians claim. But what about Revelation 4:11?
Revelation 4:11.
“You are worthy, O Lord, to RECEIVE glory and honor and power: for you have created all things, and for your pleasure they are and were created.”
The first question that Trinitarian Christians should ask themselves is WHY would an already God the Son in the eternity past need to RECEIVE POWER?
The next thing is to look up the meanings of the Greek words.
For you see, we are reading a “translation” and not the original Greek text.
And the translators do not always use the most correct meanings of the Greek words in every verse of Scripture. Translators make mistakes at times.
And sadly, sometimes they are deliberate biased translations to support the doctrine of the Trinity.
So let us look up the meaning of TWO Greek words that are translated as “FOR your PLEASURE they are and were created”.
The Greek word translated as “FOR” also means BECAUSE of your “θέλημα”, which also means your CHOICE.
Let us now use these other meanings of these two Greek words to learn the TRUE SOUND Biblical meaning of Revelation 4:11.
A more correct translation of Revelation 4:11.
“You are worthy, O Lord, to RECEIVE glory and honor and power: for you have created all things, and BECAUSE of your CHOICE they are and were created,”
Here is how the concordance in E-Sword defines the Greek word “θέλημα”, which is translated as your “pleasure”.
G2307
θέλημα
thelēma
thel’-ay-mah
From the prolonged form of G2309; a determination (properly the thing), that is, (actively) choice (specifically purpose, decree; abstractly volition) or (passively) inclination: – desire, pleasure, will.
And it is because of the CHOICE that the Son of MAN, Jesus made in the Garden of Gethsemane to obey his God and Father’s Will, saying NOT MY will, but Your Will be done, that the God of Jesus highly exalted him, according to Philippians 2:8-11.
So then, another question that Trinitarian Christians should ask themselves is. “WHY would an already God the Son need to be HIGHLY EXALTED by his God and Father?”
Philippians 2:8-11.
“And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Philippians 2:9. WHEREFORE (Or BECAUSE of the CHOICE that the Son of MAN, Jesus, made to OBEY his God and Father) God also has HIGHLY EXALTED him, and (Has) GIVEN him a NAME which is above every name:
Philippians 2:10. THAT (Or so THAT) at the NAME of Jesus (Speaking of the NEW NAME that God GAVE to His human Son, Jesus, so THAT) every knee should bow, of [things] in heaven, and [things] in earth, and [things] under the earth; (Or more correctly, the ONES in heaven, the ONES upon the earth, and the ONES under the earth will BOW down at the NEW NAME that the God and Father GAVE to His human Son, Jesus)
Philippians 2:11. And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
And always remember that it was the God of Jesus who MADE him both Lord and Messiah AFTER the cross and resurrection, according to Acts 2:36, Matthew 28:18, Romans 1:4, and many other verses of Scripture that teach us WHEN the Lamb was found WORTHY to RECEIVE all POWER, glory and honor.
