GT Department Information

Coaching: Coach teachers focused on improving the learning of their advanced students. 

T-TESS Support: Assist teachers with developing T-TESS goals and collecting evidence to support goals focused on advanced students. 

Student Observations and Assistance: Observe and assist with ideas for students who show a need for GT support. 

Internalizing: Help teachers internalize the curriculum. 

Extension Activities: Provide a bank of extension activities tailored to different grade levels and subjects. 

RTI Organization: Assist in organizing RTI activities and systems to provide enrichment opportunities for advanced students. 

Enrichment Strategies: Share strategies for integrating enrichment opportunities into everyday lessons without adding to teachers' workload. 

Twice-Exceptional Training: Offer specialized training on identifying and supporting twice-exceptional students (those who receive GT services and have a learning disability). 

Data Dialogue: Assist in data analysis and research to inform decision- making. 

Referral Process Training: Offer guidelines and training for staff on the GT referral and identification process. 

Data Analysis Support: Assist in analyzing assessment data to identify potential GT students. 

Twice-Exceptional Identification: Support campuses in identifying twice-exceptional students who may be overlooked. 

Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Resources: Provide SEL resources and support addressing their unique emotional needs of students receiving GT Services.

Counseling Support: Work with counselors on supporting the social and emotional needs of students receiving GT services.
