Honor a Caregiver

The Alzheimer’s Association Michigan Chapter is encouraging people to honor the more than 518,000 Michigan family members and friends serving as dementia caregivers by donating $35 to the Walk to End Alzheimer's and receiving a Promise Garden lapel pin throughout the month of December.

Lapel pins can be sent to caregivers with a note of appreciation or to your own home as you help us fight the darkness of Alzheimer's and all other dementia. Each Promise Garden flower color represents a personal connection to Alzheimer’s, while signifying our solidarity in the fight against the disease.

Flower colors and meaning:

BLUE

I am living with Alzheimer’s or another dementia.

ORANGE

I support the cause and the Association’s vision of a world without Alzheimer’s and all other dementia.

PURPLE

I have lost someone to Alzheimer’s disease.

YELLOW

I support or care for someone living with Alzheimer’s.
