Conference Agenda
Target Audience:
Nurses, Social Workers, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Mental Health Practitioners, and other Healthcare Professionals or caregivers working with the Alzheimer's population.
Purpose Statement:
The purpose of the conference is to discuss innovative research, new models of care, and safety measures that impact the lives of people living with dementia.
Program Objectives:
- List two ways that biomarkers are used in clinical trials for Alzheimer's disease.
- Compare the interventions used in the SPRINT-MIND study to those used in the U.S. POINTER study.
- Participants will identify the 56 dementia care practice recommendations
- Participants will apply the recommendations across all care settings and throughout the disease process
- Participants will understand the symptoms of delirium, depression, and dementia, and how these conditions overlap.
- Participants will be able to understand how caregiving can be filled with unexpected grace moments
- Participants will learn of the ways dignity of the care receiver and the caregiver can be enhanced by others, and much more!
