La Sierra Counseling Department Vision: 

The La Sierra School Counseling Program envisions a future where every student develops the academic, social, and emotional skills needed to thrive in college, career, and life. Through a data-driven, comprehensive school counseling program, we intentionally build the skills and mindsets essential for lifelong success. In collaboration with families, educators, and community partners, we foster a safe, inclusive environment where students graduate proud of their growth, confident in their next steps, and equipped to achieve their own version of success in life.

The mission of the La Sierra High School Counseling Program is to support the Alvord Unified School District's mission by delivering a comprehensive, data-driven school counseling program that removes barriers to learning, ensures equitable access to rigorous academic, college, career, and enrichment opportunities, and promotes the academic, social/emotional, and college and career development of every student.

Grounded in the values of Responsibility, Inspiration, Self-Awareness, and Engagement (RISE), we collaborate with families, educators, and community partners to cultivate a safe, inclusive, and nurturing school environment where every student develops the knowledge, skills, and mindsets needed to achieve their personal goals, contribute positively to their community, and thrive in college, career, and a lifetime of personal growth.
