Un poco sobre mí/About me

Hola a todos mi nombre es Yelinette Ortiz soy de la isla de Puerto Rico y este será mi primer año como maestra en Alvin ISD. Vivo en Texas desde hace 5 años junto a mi esposo Arnaldo, mi hija Yelianette y nuestra mascota 'chiweenie' que se llama "Moana.En octubre 2019 me gradué con honores de Bachillerato en Ciencias de Educación Elemental en 'Grand Canyon University, online' en Arizona. Desde el 2018 trabajo para el distrito escolar de Alvin y estoy muy emocionada por estar junto a la gran familia de Alvin Elementary y por esta emocionante aventura de educar a distancia, aunque extrañaré los abrazos y ver la sonrisa en la carita de los niños en el salón. Espero que todos se mantengan saludables y positivos porque este año será uno de mucho aprendizaje!

Hello everyone, my name is Yelinette Ortiz. I am from the island of Puerto Rico and this will be my first year as a teacher in Alvin ISD. I have lived in Texas for 5 years with my husband Arnaldo, my daughter Yelianette and our 'chiweenie' pet named "Moana. In October 2019 I graduated with honors in Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education at Grand Canyon University in Arizona. Since 2018 I work for the Alvin School District and I am very excited to be with the great family of Alvin Elementary and for this exciting adventure of distance learning, although I will miss the hugs and seeing the smiles on the faces of the kids in the classroom. I hope everyone stays healthy and positive because this year will be one of great learning!
