Classroom Procedures

Greeted by teacher at door, if teacher not at door upon arrival please line up against the wall

Come in quietly, sit in assigned seat, check the screen for Do Now and complete it

Report computer issues to teacher, do not swap out accessories (keyboard, mice)

No talking or walking when the teacher is talking

Raise your hand and wait to be acknowledged before speaking

Ask three before me

Stay seated unless given permission by teacher

(10 &10) Restrooms breaks not allowed the first and last 10 minutes of class. Also, do not ask during instruction

"Screens" is the code for your undivided attention, and please tilt your laptop screens halfway

*Get a tardy pass from previous teacher or administrator if tardy

Dismissal of class is done by the teacher not by the bell. Wait for the teacher to dismiss the class.

Discipline

Students are expected to behave appropriately at all times. Below is the process of handling discipline:

· 1st level: Verbal and/or nonverbal warnings for disruption

· 2nd level: Teacher conference is held with the student to resolve the issue

· 3rd level: Call to parent and parent conference (in person)

· 4th level: Student is sent to the office on a discipline referral

All attempts are made to keep discipline within the classroom. However, a discipline referrals may be given faster based on the severity of the students' behavior.

No Cell Phones or Other Electronic Devices

If an assignment requires cell phone or electronic device use. A communication will be sent home to parents.

One warning will be given, and after that warning it will be subject to confiscation by teacher.

It will either be held to the end of period or school day, or turned in to front office ($15 fee and a parent will be required to pick up device)
