Welcome to Speech!
My name is Laura Betancourt and I am the SLP at Alvin Elementary this year. This is my second year as a speech-language pathologist here at AE and I could not be more excited to work with your child!
Types of services offered:
Here at Alvin Elementary, we provide speech evaluations and therapy services (for language, pragmatics, articulation, fluency/stuttering and voice) to:
Students enrolled in school at AE who require specialized instruction to make educational progress (eligibility is determined by a Full Individual Evaluation through Special Education)
3-4 year old children with communication impairments who reside in the AE school zone

About me
I graduated with my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from LSU (Geaux Tigers!) and received my Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at University of Houston.

I have 3 dogs (Meeko, Drogo, and Quincy) and 1 cat (Vesper)
I lived in Spain (Galicia and Madrid) for two years to teach English
Traveling is my favorite way to spend a holiday
I love going to concerts, sunflowers and the color teal
