About Mrs. Hayes

Ahoy Pirates! My name is Mrs. Hayes and I am so excited to have each of you in my class! I believe in building a classroom family where we support one another in our learning. My philosophy is that students learn best when they feel respected, supported, and encouraged. My goal is to build strong relationships with each student, so I can see them achieve their fullest potential. We are going to make mistakes, take risks, and have a LOT of fun!

This will be my 8th year teaching in Alvin ISD. I graduated from Texas State University with my Bachelors in Elementary Education and my Masters in Education Administration from Lamar University. When I am not at school, you can find me spending time with my family. My husband, Lorenzo, is also a teacher in Alvin ISD and we have two little boys, Coltrane and Miles. They keep us very busy! I love to travel, eat yummy food, and go shopping any chance I get! My door is always open and I look forward to partnering with each of you this school year!
