I was born in Galveston, Texas and moved to the Houston area when I was 4 years old. I graduated from Willowridge High School in 1991. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology Pre-Med, from Texas Southern University in 1996. I received my teaching certification in 2010, however I have 14 years of experience in education. In addition, I worked as a Forensic Toxicologist for 7 years before I returned to the classroom. I have been married to my wonderful husband for 23 years and we have 1 son, Esaias. I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking/baking and traveling.
