I am so happy to be back for my second year at Manvel High School. I have been teaching in Alvin ISD for 11 years, 9 of which were in junior high, but being able to work with high school students has been such a wonderful experience. I am thankful to be able to work with and support my students to achieve academic success and individual growth!

I have a B.A. in History from the University of Houston (Go COOGS!) and my M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of St. Thomas. I am thrilled to be working with so many fantastic people in Mav Nation where I can help students grow in their knowledge of history. I believe that it is important to prepare students for their role in society by inspiring critical thinkers who analyze global perspectives, issues, and events through the creation of relevant learning connections.

I have been married forever to a wonderful man and together we have two grown daughters currently pursuing their own careers. My oldest is a 23 year-old real estate agent, also working as a leasing agent in Houston. My youngest is 20 and currently working on her pastry degree and will continue her education to major in Digital Art. We are a close family and love to go on trips together... sometimes very last minute. :)
