Hello! I’m Karen Shepherd. This is my eighth year teaching but my fourth year teaching second grade! I love being a part of the Stevenson family!

I am happily married to my husband, James. He is a high school teacher and coach. We have three beautiful kiddos. Joshua is beginning fourth grade at Walt Disney this year, Katelyn will be joining me at Stevenson for kindergarten this year, and Jonathan is two years old. We have a beagle named Liberty Belle.

I graduated with a degree in interdisciplinary studies (elementary education) from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2015. Before that, I earned my associate’s degree in early childhood education from Alvin Community College.

Welcome back to school! It’s going to be a super second grade year! We’ve got lots of engaging activities planned to make this learning adventure the best school year yet!
