Course Description: Science is the study of the world around you through observation and experimental investigations. In Science, we will be studying matter, energy, atoms, forces, and more. In addition, we will spend time in the laboratory with emphasis on safety, scientific processes and developing critical thinking skills. Everything in science class is geared to prepare the students for success in future courses and life.

Meet the Teacher
Welcome to 6th grade science! I am so excited to explore and discover with you all this year! This is my 14th year as a teacher. I have taught 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grade over the years. The bulk of my experience is in 5th grade science and I love it! I grew up in this area and graduated from Clear Creek High School in 2000 and later graduated from U of H Clear Lake with my bachelors in education. I am living my dream! I have always wanted to be a teacher. Science has always played a big role in my life. My father is an engineer at NASA and is currently working with Space X on Dragon the rocket that successfully took humans to space. I am married and have two children. My husband works for Iron Horse Builders. I have two daughters. My oldest daughters name is Mekaila and just turned 18 and graduated last year from Manvel High School. My youngest daughters name is Ashleigh and will be in the sixth grade at Manvel Junior High.
