Welcome to Mrs. Eberspacher's math class blog! I will post updates here weekly. I will put class and school updates here. When I make a new post I will send out a Remind message and a message in Skyward.

week of november 14

in class:

Grades are up to date as of November 15th at 7:30 am.
- There are still a lot of missing assignments. Everything is in Google Classroom. If you can't find something let me know and I will point you in the right direction.
We started Unit 3: Proportional Reasoning at the end of last week.
Students will get homework on Tuesday and it will be due Thursday at the beginning of class.
We also took notes on Tuesday and these can be found in Google Classroom, along with the in class practice and the homework.
PLEASE WEAR YOUR ALVIN ISD SERVES SHIRT ON FRIDAY! We will be working on our community project that day.
Next week is Thanksgiving Break!!!!!

Grades are up to date as of Sunday, October 30th. Please check Skyward to see if you are missing any assignments. All assignments are posted in Google Classroom if you have lost your copy.
- There are still a lot of missing assignments
- New tutorial times: Tuesday and Thursday mornings 7:35 - 8:05 and Wednesday afternoons 4:15 - 4:45
  - There are also tutorials offered by a different math teacher every Tuesday and Thursday morning in the computer lab. These are a first come/first serve basis so you need to be here right at 8:05 to make sure you get a spot.
- We have a test coming up next week, on Wednesday, November 9th.
  - We will begin the review on Friday, November 4th and will work on it Monday, November 7th. The video of me completing the review will be posted into google classroom on Monday, after school.
  - The review will be due to me on Wednesday. This is an easy grade if you watch the video and make corrections to your review. It is a great opportunity to bring up your grade in this class!
- If you are absent don't forget to talk to me about any makeup work!
- Homework this week: Anything that you do not finish in class is homework and due to me the following day. There is no other HW for this week.

NO SCHOOL MONDAY, OCTOBER 17TH
CBA IS ON TUESDAY
- The review video has been posted in Google Classroom. Please watch the video and make corrections to your review. The review is a grade and is due Tuesday at the beginning of class.
- Tutorials
  - Starting next week tutorials will be offered for Math every Tuesday and Thursday morning at 8:05 in the computer lab with another math teacher. This is so that more students are able to attend. I will still offer tutorials in my class.
  - New Tutorial times for my class: Tuesday and Thursday at 7:35 am and Wednesday 4:15 - 4:45 pm. Hopefully this will give you more flexibility.

in class:

ALL MISSING / CORRECTED WORK IS DUE NO LATER THAN WEDNESDAY AT THE END OF THE DAY!
- I must have all grades in by Thursday morning so no work will be accepted after Wednesday.
CBA Tuesday, October 18th
- We will be working on a review in class on Wednesday and Thursday of this week. I will post a video of me completing the review on Thursday afternoon.
- Students have the opportunity to use the video to make corrections to their reviews over the weekend. The review is a grade! This is an easy way to make a 100 on the review and prepare for the test at the same time!
This week we will start Constant Rate of Change and review for the CBA.
No homework this week.

week of october 3

in class:

HOMEWORK: The homework this week is 6.11A ASTROS. It will be given to students on Monday and will be due Friday at the beginning of class. THIS IS A GRADE!
TUTORIALS: Tutorials are still Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings at 7:35. Due to the amount of students wanting to attend tutorials I will have a sign up area on the back whiteboard. I will take no more than 5 students per day. I feel tutorials is less effective with too many students.
We have moved on to Unit 2: Multiple Representations. All in class assignments and homework will be posted in Google Classroom at the end of each school day.
We only have TWO weeks left before the end of the quarter. I need ALL missing assignments by Friday, October 7th! Please check Skyward for missing assignments. I will be calling parents of students with two or more zeroes.

week of september 19

in class:

Quiz Monday on solving and graphing two-step inequalities. We will do a quick 10 minute review before the quiz.
Homework: The homework this week will be the test review. The students will receive it on Monday and will turn it in Friday before the test. The review is a grade! Students will have 10-15 minutes during each class period Monday - Thursday to ask questions about anything they do not understand on the review. I suggest they work on it a little each night to make sure they are ready for the test on Friday.
I sent an email to the students who are missing assignments in my class. The grades for the next progress report have to be in by this Friday. Please make sure all missing assignments are turned in before Friday!
TUTORIALS: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 7:35 - 8:05 am. You must get a pass from me the day before!
We are continuing to work on solving two-step equations and inequalities. The test for this unit is Friday!

Quiz Monday
Homework: Students will a homework assignment on Monday and it will be due Thursday at the beginning of class.
Grades have been updated in Skyward. If you have zeros it means you are missing assignments. Get with me to fix this.
TUTORIALS: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 7:35 - 8:05 am. You must get a pass from me the day before!
We are continuing to work on solving two-step equations and inequalities. The test for this unit is scheduled for September 23rd.

We will continue working on solving two step equations and inequalities.
Homework: Students will receive a homework assignment on Monday and it will be due Friday at the beginning of class.
Starting tomorrow, all assignments, in class and homework, will be posted in Google Classroom every evening

This week we will be learning:
- why the sign flips when you multiply or divide by a negative number when solving an inequality
- how to solve one variable, two step equations using algebra tiles, strip diagrams, and be able to verbally state the steps taken to solve

at school:

It's Homecoming week and we have dress up days!

- Monday: Parent Trap - Twin Day: Find a friend and dress in matching outfits
- Tuesday: Urban Cowboy - Western wear: Wear your cowboy hats and boots
- Wednesday: DC vs. Marvel - Superhero: Dress as your favorite superhero. Don't forget to join us for our parade at 5:00 pm
- Thursday: Breakfast Club - 80's theme or Pajamas: Take our your leg warmers and get ready for a throwback or simply roll out of bed
- Friday: Despicable Me - Minion: Show your "Yellow" Jacket pride or wear overalls
