All Theatre students are expected to have a good daily attendance at school. A student is counted tardy in theatre class if they are not in their seat with materials when the bell rings, and ready for class warm-up. Attendance at rehearsals is required and graded. Each member is a vital part of the cast and crew. There are elements of a rehearsal that cannot be reproduced if missed. Students must make the director aware in advance if they will not be at a rehearsal. The exception is if the student is ill, and or there is an emergency and advance notice cannot be given.

If a student should miss a production, the student will have a monologue or scene to perform.

Chronic absenteeism from school, multiple unexcused absences from rehearsals or performances, and multiple tardies may result in grade reduction, Loss of performance status, Removal from theatre program, Removal from school social activities.

Parents will receive a performance reminder, a week before a scheduled performance. Please let me know if you do not have a working email address and I will send a copy home with your student. Parents should ensure students are brought on time and picked up in a timely manner. Mrs. Mikell must wait until all students leave with an approved adult before she can leave. Thank you for ensuring your child is punctual for performances.
