RAZORBACKS TO THE FUTURE
Our school strives to be a racially, culturally, and economically diverse community of students, parents and staff dedicated to building positive and appropriate relationships, achieving academic excellence, developing good character, and showcasing greatness.
My name is Melissa Muegge and I am a Science, ELA and Social Studies teacher at Rodeo Palms Jr. High School. I have a B.S. in Elementary Education (grades 1st - 8th) with a specialization in Reading from University of Houston Clear Lake. I am certified in Special Education and trained in a specialized reading program created by Neuhaus.
I was born in San Angelo, Tx. My family moved to Alvin in 1973. My father managed the Bottom Dollar Clothing store which is now an antique mall on Highway 35. I went to Mark Twain Primary, Alvin Elementary School, Alvin Jr. High, and Alvin High School where I graduated in 1983. I am Alvin-Proud and I look forward to giving back to the community that gave to me many years ago. I met my husband, Kevin Muegge while attending college at the University of Houston Clear Lake in 1991. We married in March of 1994 and two years later became proud parents of a beautiful daughter, Alyssa Muegge. Alyssa is now receiving her master's degree at Baylor University in" Higher Education of Student Affairs" and we are so proud of her. We were residents of Dickinson, Tx. for 24 years and now like a salmon that has swum upstream, I have returned to my hometown Alvin, Tx.
I look forward to working with your child this year. If you need to reach me, you can contact me at the school at 281-245-2080 Ext. 5248.
