Course Expectations & Google Classroom Expectations

As a friendly reminder to all learners, please review the classroom expectations and norms below. These expectations and norms are designed to keep you safe and promote high learning standards for all. Please help yourself and others by doing your best to adhere to these expectations and norms. Additionally, should we see a need to adjust these expectations and norms, we will do so together as learning community.

  • Be respectful of your teacher and other classmates.

    • Show respect for yourself, your classmates and your teacher – even when it’s difficult. This includes their opinions and their writing.

  • Stay awake, alert and active in the learning.

  • Maintain safe social distances, and wear your masks for the entire class period.

  • Keep your items and area as tidy as possible.

    • Personal items that are superfluous to scholarship must be kept out of sight - unless you have prior permission - cell phones, iPods, other electronic devices, grooming items, and work for another class. Will Mrs. Hudson seize your cell phone or any other prohibited items, if you have it on your desk? Yes, she will!

  • No food or drinks allowed.

  • There is no roaming around the classroom. Raise your hand if you need something.

  • 10/10 Rule: You cannot leave the class for any reason during the first and last 10 minutes of the class.

  • Bring required materials daily. You MUST have your OWN supplies every day.

    • Blue or Black Pen & Pencils ONLY

    • Notebook Paper

    • Composition Notebook

    • Colored Pencils OR Markers

  • Complete ALL assignments when provided - ON TIME.

  • All assignments must be completed in blue or black pen or pencils ONLY or electronically.

  • Most importantly, ask for help when needed and as often as possible!
