Department Goals

1. Student Communication

   • Our objective is to provide students and parents with weekly and monthly updates about curriculum, projects, major assessments, and grades.

   • We will use google classroom to make sure students have assignments in one organized place that is easily accessible.

2. Analysis of primary and secondary sources

   • Our objective is to teach students how to use primary and secondary sources.

   • Primary and secondary sources provide direct evidence and information that helps students understand objects, people, places, and events from the past.

   • Primary and secondary sources also teach students to think for themselves.

3. Small groups

   • Our objective is to provide students with small group instruction 1-2 times per week.

   • This will allow teachers to reduce the student-teacher ratio and provide more individualized instruction.
