Iowa Colony Pioneer Band & Guard

WELCOME!

The Pioneer Band and Guard is in their third year of existence. We look forward to representing our community with pride!

STUDENTS & Their Role in our Program:

Music is an enriching experience for all young people, and we fully believe that every student has a place in our program. The Iowa Colony High School Band and Guard Directors firmly believe that participation in our organization will lead to the development of applicable lifelong skills, such as time-management, strong work ethic, a positive attitude, ability to work with others, and effective problem solving skills. Students who are members of our program will grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially as they work together to build a culture of excellence. If you are new to Iowa Colony, please reach out to any of the directors in order to discuss how we can get you involved in our program!

PARENTS & Their Role in our Program:

There is a place for every parent in this organization. Your service is not only encouraged, but it is also NEEDED. The best way to support your students is by joining the Iowa Colony Band and Guard Boosters. The Iowa Colony Band and Guard (ICBG) Boosters exist to assist the band directors in helping to reach the band program’s goals. The Boosters usually meet the Second Tuesday of each month. The meetings are open to the public and begin at 6:00 p.m. in the ICHS Band Hall (exterior door B2). Support activities provided by the boosters include serving meals to students before games, providing chaperones for trips, providing chaperones for social events, financing of social events, providing parents to assist in various aspects of the marching band production, and numerous other activities. For more information, please email one of the directors.
