Meet your Director

Mrs. Rockwell is our Head Band Director for Iowa Colony Junior High. Prior to teaching in Alvin ISD, she worked in Van ISD as a Head Junior High Band Director, Assistant High School Band Director, and Beginner Coordinator. She specializes in woodwind instruction and graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler in 2020 with a degree in Music Education.

Mrs. Rockwell has spent the last 4 years of her teaching career in East Texas teaching beginner band classes, conducting varsity and non-varsity ensembles, and assisting with marching band.  When she isn't spending time with her students, she enjoys watching movies, listening to live music, cooking, playing tennis, and spending time with her family
