Welcome! I am Coach Easley, and I am excited to be working with you this year. I graduated from the University of Houston in 2008 with a bachelors in English, Creative Writing. My academic history is rich with educators that inspired a love for literature and expression. It is because of them that I do what I do now. My hope is that each child that enters my classroom feels important, valued, and inspired to be better every day. I aspire to be to my students the mentor that my teachers and coaches were to me. We will collaborate, engage in small group discussions, read together, laugh together, and learn together, and I look forward to every moment.

In addition to teaching English 1, I am the head Cross Country and Girl's Track coach. Prior to Iowa Colony, I was a student athlete at U of H where I participated in track and field all four years. I went on to served as the assistant track coach at Lamar high school for two years, and head track coach at Shadow Creek for the last six. I am extremely excited to work with this talented group of student athletes in track and cross country here at ICHS. Lets BLAZE THIS TRAIL!!
