Mrs. Stokes-ASD I Teacher

Hi! My name is Mrs. Stokes. I am so excited to be your child's teacher this coming school year. This will be my 18th year in education. I graduated from The University of Toledo with a Bachelors in Exercise Science in 2001. I transitioned into education in 2004 and taught in HISD for 10 years before coming to Alvin ISD in 2015. I have previously taught grades K, 1st, 3rd, and 5th in the general education classrooms and I have also taught 1st through 5th in the special education classroom. I am looking forward to having an absolutley awesome year serving you and your child.

Mrs. Nance ASD-I Paraprofessional

My name is Cathy Nance and I will be one of the paraprofessionals for Mrs. Stokes. This is my fourth school year at Brothers Elementary School. I am a graduate of Alvin High school and ACC with an associates in Science and Early Childhood Education.

I am married to Greg Nance and we will celebrate our 42nd anniversary in January. We have 2 children, Ashley and Adam. We also have 4 grandsons. I spend my free time with my family. I enjoy cooking, gardening, and activities outdoors. I am looking forward to working with your students this school year.

Mrs. Estrada ASD-I Paraprofessional

My name is Shkya Estrada. I was born in Jacksonville, Florida and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. I later moved to Houston, Tx. where I met and married my husband, Simon 16 years ago. We have 3 children, Sierra (12), Josiah (10), and Celia (7). We have 2 pets, a bunny and a leopard gecko. I have worked with children for over 15 years, and with Alvin ISD as a special education paraprofessional for 5 years. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going for walks, and dancing. I am looking forward to a wonderful school year.
