Hello my name is Ms. Macias, I really love being a part of Walt Disney Elementary and I am thrilled to be your 5th grade Reading, Writing, and Social Studies Teacher. I’m looking forward getting to know all of you and I know this year of learning will be a fun adventure!
I really love everything about English, Writing, and Social Studies. I can’t wait to read with you! We are going to take so many adventures in the pages of great books. Also, writing is one of my most favorite things, and I am so excited to read the stories you write this year! We are going to have a lot fun and be safe in the process.

I was born in Houston, Texas and went to college at the University of Houston-Downtown. I got a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. After graduating I worked as a Youth Counselor with at-risk youth in CPS for 5 years. I earned my alternative certification in elementary education in 2013. This will be my 9th year teaching and I love it!

I have a 11 year old daughter named Daniela and two year old baby named Michael. Our favorite place to go to in the Summertime is the beach, pool, or water park. We love the water and sun!
