I am a North Carolina native and grew up in Raleigh. I received my Bachelor of Science from Campbell University, where I initially majored in Mathematics Education. During my time there, I discovered a deeper passion for mathematics and switched my major to Mathematics in order to pursue graduate study. I graduated from Campbell University in December 2018 and went on to earn my Master of Arts in Mathematics from Wake Forest University in May 2021.
I am currently a Ph.D. candidate in Mathematics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, working under the guidance of Dr. Dave Rose. My research focuses on computations in spin link homology.
Outside of academia, I volunteer with Charley’s K-9 Rescue, a bully-breed rescue organization. To date, I have fostered fifteen dogs and serve on the board as the Events Coordinator and Social Media Manager. Pictured below is Sybil. She was my 6th foster who we decided to adopt after fostering her for 3 months.
