Research

My research addresses the design, analysis and application of numerical methods for complex flow problems, with special focus on inhomogeneous (non-Newtonian, multiphase) fluid models and multiphysics. My group uses model-tailored implicit-explicit (IMEX) time-stepping schemes to create decoupled but still stable algorithms. Some key topics currently under investigation are:
