Welcome! Start your journey of discovering some safe spaces within Strathcona County. Solve challenges while learning about the LGBTQ2S+ community, intersectionality, allyship and more.
Instructions:
(1) Each location on the map has a large QR code poster somewhere outside (hints: on building windows, doors, etc.)
(2) Once you find the rainbow banner poster with the QR code, use your mobile phone to scan the QR code. **HELPFUL TIP: if your phone isn't scanning the QR code, try tilting your phone so that QR code is square on your screen!
(3) The QR code will take you to a website with lots of information about specific LGBTQ2S+ topics and questions.
(4) To be entered to win the grand prize, you and your team must answer the questions at every location. There are 10 in total, good luck!
How do I play?
Go to each location, find the QR code poster, scan the code with your phone's camera, and complete the online activity! Remember to submit your team name at every location to make sure you're entered to win the prize. The QR code posters look like this:
What is the prize?
An amazing assortment of goodies from wonderful sponsors and donors including gift cards, items, and more! Anyone/any team who completes all of the locations will be entered for a random draw for the prize.
How many people can be a part of a team?
As many or as few as you'd like. Or you can even play solo! Please make to follow the current Alberta Covid-19 guidelines for outdoor activities, found HERE.
Is this Covid-19 safe?
Yes! As long as you and your team are following current Covid-19 outdoor guidelines, you will be safe. Every poster is located somewhere that can be easily scanned from outside. There is no entering buildings, touching of any materials, or interacting with other people.
