Eagle Tv Field Trip
On March 26th students who are in Eagle tv were able to travel to AAHS to meet with MLTV. There the students learned about MLTV's process to doing their live morning show. MLTV showed us their filming, editing, and planning process. Eagle Tv students even got to do a run through of MLTV's show where we were on the cameras and the sound system. The high school students gave us a new way to look at everything and tons of new ideas. We cannot wait to show you all in our May Eaglt Tv. Stay tuned.
Student VS. Staff Basketball Game
On March 21st students and staff faced off in the annual basketball game that benefitted Easter for Eli. We raised $1,232! This game is something that is highly anticipated by both the students and the staff. In our march broadcast we did a smack talking segment to get everyone hyped up for it. The MHI cheerleaders made an appearance, along with the MHI band. We had a special appearance from Beef Stew! Students in grades 3-5 had the chance to play against their teachers. The whole school was invited to come and watch. It was a close game the whole way through. Everyone did an amazing job. The game ended in a tie 42-42. A special thank you to Mrs. Plunket for organizing the whole event! We are all MHI proud!
Author Visit
On March 21st MHI got to meet with Author Bruce Hale. He did an all school presentation where he drew with the students, read from Clark the Shark, and told the students to follow their dreams. The students wore hats that they made in library to his presentation because Mr. Hale has a love for hats. Some very lucky students got to eat lunch with Mr. Hale too.
5th Grade Revolutionary War Play
On March 28th at opening, 5th grade performed their revolutionary play that they have been working on with Mr. Little and Mr. Steward. The students did an amazing job. Each student had their own special part whether it was to be apart of the British, French, or American. It was funny but yet informative. Mr. Steward played the Guitar while the whole class sang along. The students created their own costumes out of construction paper and tape.
