Originating in 2021, Altadena Chamber of Commerce's Sip & Shop Event was well received by businesses and the community becoming one of the Chamber's signature events. In 2022, we had the pleasure of hosting 34 vendors and estimate patrons in attendance over 700+. Each year, we've witnessed remarkable growth, and the event continues to earn accolades from our vibrant community.

APPLICATION FEE:
Altadena Chamber of Commerce ("ACOC")
Business or Retail Vendor - Chamber Member of ACOC - $55
Business or Retail Vendor - Non-member of ACOC - $75
Food Vendor - $200
Community Table or Youth Vendor - FREE
TERMS & CONDITIONS:
Participants are approved applicants who have complied with the application process; submit an application, pay the required fee, provide insurance, and abide by the "Terms and Conditions" of the event.
Altadena Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to refuse space to any vendor, business, or inappropriate exhibitors and to remove any participant any time before or during the event.
Participants will be assigned a designated space; no moving around to another location without permission from Altadena Chamber of Commerce representatives.
Participants are responsible for set-up and tear-down of their own displays.
Participants must comply with all local and state safety codes and laws, including, but not limited to fire and safety.
Altadena Chamber of Commerce will cooperate in any way necessary to provide a safe and enjoyable event for everyone.
Altadena Chamber of Commerce and County of Los Angeles shall have no liability for damage of property belonging to participants and attendees before, during or after the Sip and Shop event.
Altadena Chamber of Commerce does not provide electricity, electrical cords, or lights to any participant.
Altadena Chamber of Commerce only permits food trucks and restaurants to sell food items in the Mariposa Junction located at 849 E. Mariposa Street, Altadena, CA 91001, near the junction of Mariposa Street and Lake Avenue.
Food Vendors are allowed to sell only menu items that were submitted during EVENT application process and approved during the selection process.
All food vendors must display a clear view:
Current LA County Business License
Current Health Department Permit
Liability insurance with the event address 849 E. Mariposa Street, Altadena, CA 91001 added as additional insured.
Food vendors shall comply with all applicable LA County building, plumbing, mechanical and electrical codes and must be current on all state health permits and inspections.
All participants agree to allow Altadena Chamber of Commerce and its representatives use of any photos and other promotional materials taken during the Holiday Sip and Shop event for purposes of promoting the Altadena Chamber of Commerce Sip and Shop event this year and for future years.
Altadena Chamber of Commerce and County of Los Angeles are not responsible for any bodily harm during or after the Sip and Shop event.
Participants are responsible for removing debris and ensuring the general cleanliness of the area.
For Youth Vendors, Parents/Chaperones take full responsibility for their minor's products, sales and must always remain at their booth during the event.
General Information:
ARRIVAL:
Participants may come as early as 2:00 pm to check-in and assume their designated location.
SET-UP:
Participants must be fully set-up by 4:30 pm, open for business by 5:00 pm, and remain opened until 9:00 pm. Participants are responsible for providing table(s), chair(s), and table covering. Designated space is approximately 10x5. NO POP-UPS. Separate provisions will be allowed for Food Vendors given Food Vendors may be a truck or a pop-up tent. Food Vendors will be able to advise of their space requirements in the application. Artists are responsible to provide what they need to display their art. Artwork must be family friendly and not depict nudity or violence of any kind.
SHUT-DOWN:
Participants are required to vacate the event in a timely manner after the market closes at 9:00 pm.
insurance requirements
All applicants are required to provide proof of liability insurance and execute the indemnity agreement (see button below). Please email to: altadena.chamber.sipandshop@gmail.com and note "SIP & SHOP - INSURANCE" in the subject line. An email will be sent to confirm your participation, only upon receipt of payment, executed indemnity agreement and proof of insurance.
