Alta-Aurelia Instructional Coaches
Meet the coaches
What can an instructional coach do for you?
Our instructional coaches utilize high leverage tools to help teachers plan and prepare, teach and assess, and analyze and reflect on student learning. Our focus on the Optimal Learning Environment (OLE), paired with the tools we use, will help support teachers at all levels, and in return will impact student learning.
We can....
analyze an existing lesson plan
discuss a lesson being developed
discuss standard and task alignment
observe a class
debrief an observation, focusing on strengths, areas for growth, and goal setting
analyze artifacts of student learning
aid in building relationships
help connect content to students' context
Renewal Credit for coaching cycles
Staff members at Alta Aurelia can set up a coaching cycle and register for one of three courses the district is offering for licensure renewal credit. The courses are set up in the AEA Professional Learning Registration System. The course/coaching cycle is worth 1 renewal credit.
The web link for the registration system is Prairie Lakes AEA. Once you are on the website click in the search box. You may search by course/session id, subject area, presenter name, etc.
These three courses are new and specific to our district's PD this year. You can take the course (use the assigned course ID according to the Optimal Learning Environment domain that you picked to study this year) for renewal credit even if you have previously done a coaching cycle.
