Alta-Aurelia Instructional Coaches

 Our instructional coaches utilize high leverage tools to help teachers plan and prepare, teach and assess, and analyze and reflect on student learning. Our focus on the Optimal Learning Environment (OLE), paired with the tools we use, will help support teachers at all levels, and in return will impact student learning. 

We can....

• analyze an existing lesson plan

• discuss a lesson being developed

• discuss standard and task alignment

• observe a class

• debrief an observation, focusing on strengths, areas for growth, and goal setting

• analyze artifacts of student learning

• aid in building relationships 

• help connect content to students' context

All staff members are invited to participate in a coaching cycle with one of our Instructional Coaches. Coaching cycles are designed to be flexible and personalized to teachers' individual professional goals, experiences, and preferences.

If a teacher choosees to complete a coaching cycle, they may earn one renewal credit by registering for the following professional learning opportunity (the deadline for signing up is October 23rd):

Staff members who would like to complete a coaching cycle without receiving renewal credit are welcome to do so and do not need to register. However, we encourage anyone who may benefit from the renewal credit to sign up and pay the $15 renewal fee by the deadline, October 23rd. You can do the coaching cycle at any time.

The length and focus of each coaching cycle will be determined collaboratively by you and your building’s Instructional Coach, based on your expertise, professional needs, and preferences:
