All About Mrs. V

I grew up in Magrath, Alberta, Canada. My mom was a teacher, and I loved going to her classroom to “help.” I knew that someday I would be a teacher just like her. I moved to the United States when I was 18 to go to University. I met and Married Mr. V when I was 20, and we moved to Laramie, WY, to complete his bachelor’s degree. I finished my degree back in Utah, and I had my first baby, Hanna, a month after I graduated! I stayed home with my girls for ten years, but when we moved to Lehi in 2009, I applied for and got a job teaching first grade at Freedom. Our new house was close enough to Freedom that my girls came to school with me.

My daughters are Hanna (23) and Grace (21). I’ve been married to Mr. V for 28 years, and he is a Utah Highway Patrol lieutenant. We have two dogs, Annie and Maeby. They sometimes make appearances at school, so you’ll get to meet them in person. I love hiking, camping, swimming, traveling, cycling, motorcycles, movies, reading, and I love teaching! I’m so excited to get to know more about you! We are going to have so much fun learning and laughing together this year!
