YOU CANNOT TRYOUT UNLESS YOU ARE ON REGISTER MY ATHLETE AND IT SAYS "READY FOR TRYOUTS" FOR BOYS TENNIS '24-'25
That means you must register for tryouts on Register My Athlete (with your guardian's help), sign a couple things, and upload a current Physical from a doctor using THIS FORM.
Details can be found below on numbers 3 and 4. If you have any issues with this, please let Coach Brown know.
We need to make sure you understand how to play in matches so that you can do so at tryouts and beyond.
This is where I will send out information about tryouts, along with the results of tryouts, i.e. if you made the team or not.
You CANNOT try out for a sport unless you are registered for it on Register My Athlete. You must complete everything on the registration process except paying your fees, that comes only when you've officially made the team.
To be on the team you need to have a physical, and you must use the school's form. Physicals are good for one year, so if you aren't sure if yours has expired, ask and we can let you know. Ideally, this will be done by tryouts. Upload it directly to Register My Athlete. Do not bring in a physical copy.
You may also pick up a copy of this form in the main office.
PLEASE READ - All information about the team can be found here. In lieu of a parent meeting, the information is here. If you then have questions I can be contacted by email, or at the school before or after school - email me to set up a time to meet.
Hey, I'm Jason Brown, a teacher and coach at Timpanogos High School. I ran track and played tennis for Riverton High School back in my day, and then later came back to coach there for 2 seasons. This is now my 5th year of coaching/teaching at THS. I think my philosophy is to make sure that every player is enjoying the amazing game of tennis because they are working hard, helping others, and making progress. For me, attitude is 90% of tennis, and if you have a good one, we'll get along nicely.Â
Come see me at THS in room 801
Or schedule a meeting before or after school if you'd like to talk in person.
