The following is a list of possible activities you can do with the word practice sheets:
Make a second copy of the practice words and play "Go Fish" or "Memory."
Hide words and play treasure hunt.
Hide pictures/words in a darkened room and spot them with a flashlight.
Put paper clips on pictures/words and use a magnet to pick them up. (Go fishing)
Put the pictures/words on the floor and toss a bean bag on them.
Helper describes the word and child guesses it.
Play "Hot Lava" and hop from word to word.
Egg Hunt - hide words in plastic eggs and find them.
Put words under cups. Lift the cups and say the word.
Practice words in the car. You have a captive audience.
Place small treat on the word and let child have the treat after saying the word x number of times.
Feed the words to a puppet.
Put words in a bag and let child pull them out.
Draw word pictures with sidewalk chalk.
Take pictures of things that have target sound.
Play a board game and have each player say a practice word before taking a turn.
Write words on small pieces of paper. Say word and then crumple and shoot them into the garbage can.
Look for words with your sound in books.
Bury word/pictures in a bin of rice or beans.
Roll a die and say the practice word that many times.
