The "buzzing" sound or the "zipper" sound
The /z/ sound is the sibling sound of the /s/ sound. It is produced in the same way as the /s/ sound, but the voice is turned on. Most of the time, practicing the /s/ sound correctly will result in correcting the /z/ sound as well. Sometimes, however, the /z/ sound requires isolated practice.
