For the recorder, your left hand goes on top by the three dots. Your right hand doesn't cover up any holes! Use your thumb and first finger to play the B! One you've got that, you can play the B song. To play A, it's just like B, but you add your middle finger of your left hand on the next whole. 

For the ocarina, the bottom skinnier part is where you put your mouth. Then use both your thumbs for the back holes and the top right hole with your middle finger on your right hand to cover those dots that are black. To play A, you use both thumbs and the first finger on your left hand.
